The headliners no matter what were going to look awful after having Chemical Bros last year. With that being said, Bassnectar needs to take a year off and how did Odesza go from being mid-tier to HLers so damn fast?
This festival's lineups are very unpredictable. Should have gone last year to see D'Angelo.
Drove to Chicago from Columbus just to see Porter Robinson and D'angelo. Such a tiny festival I was close as heck for both. Those two back to back were magic. I could have gotten a two day pass to see the Chemical Brothers the next day for like $20 but didn't cuz I thought I had school on the Monday. Turns out that Monday was Labor Day. I still hate myself for that.
Last year was the least crowded it's been since the NCMF began. It was awesome, my group could get up close for every show we wanted to see and didn't have to get there too early. I was able to get a spot on the rail for Porter Robinson and only had to show up 15 minutes before hand. Hopefully it's like that again this year.

^^ This. Last year the promoters made it a 18+ event. It appeared to me that they shifted their lineup a bit to appeal to an older audience (headliners: D'Angelo, Widespread Panic, and Chemical Brothers). Attendance was low, as my GF and I were able to get rail for the Chemical Bros without much effort. Obviously this year's headliners are very different. I wonder if the promoters are trying to appeal to a younger audience.
The Umph addition is enough for me to go that day. If I remember right they usually do single day tickets right? Umph says they play Sunday on their website and Joel confirmed to me on Twitter that they're closing one of the main stages at night too. All I needed to know.

Nice. Juicy J was awesome at Euphoria. Don't sleep on that show. He busted out 3 Three 6 mafia tunes.
On the lower card, Vulfpeck and Future Rock are great. Tauk is awesome modern jazz and maybe will play with Umphrey's. They did some Tauk(Rey's?) McGee at Summer Camp and have been touring together this spring. Also Big Wild is a DJ I like live. His remixes are all good.
