Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
We're heading down from Bowling Green with people from all parts of KY. We're trying to get a big group for the campsite. Who are you all? Where are you from and what are your ages?
Sorry to butt in on the reminiscence (small world!), but I could use advice...
I'll be coming from Lexington or Richmond--and coming late (Thursday night/Friday morning). But I don't live there--I'll be visiting friends--so I don't know the area between there and Manchester at all. And this will be my first Bonnaroo.
Are there any tricks I should know about making that trip?
Would you advise me against making the trip late at night? I'd sorta planned to go to a concert in Lexington on Thursday night and then either drive straight through to Manchester or sleep for a few hours at my aunt's house in Richmond and then hit the road--either way, that'd mean night driving....
I hope someone who knows both the departure point and the destination can give me advice on what to expect and how to plan.
Well, if you are coming from Lexington, you can jump on the Bluegrass Parkway. It takes you to I-65 in Elizabethtown and you can head toward Nashville that way. Our first year we came on Friday and we waited in line on the interstate for something crazy like 6 hours. We came around lunch or a little after, though. If you are coming Friday morning, I suggest you arrive in Manchester really, really early so it will lessen your wait time to get in. Plus, you will have more time to see the bands!
If you need more detailed directions, let me know, but we always take the Bluegrass Parkway down.

My brother and I are going to Bonnaroo from Kentucky. He is starting in Louisville on Wednesday Night and meeting me in Glasgow so that we can leave on Thursday morning. We have been several times the last being in 2005. We mapped out an excellent route through Lebanon, TN. We cut out Nashville all together and I24. It was alot easier than the year before when we came in on I24. We are in VIP but if anyone wants to meet up Thursday Morning and follow us down then you are more than welcomed.
