I normally don't comment in this thread. I just pass by and slow down a bit, much like a daily commuter passing a car crash, but this comment deserves a tip of the cap. ...
I think ppl in here are subtley starting to lose it lol... I think it's the newly found optimism, combined with a whirlwind of reality, combined with the lineup dropping in less than 24 hours. It's quite entertaining.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

I'm getting more confident in the line up TBH. With Shaky failing to meet expectations, I'm hoping that means Roo won this year and got acts like Franz Ferdinand, Animal Collective and Americans Football. Absolutely no faith at the bottom though.
If Shaky Knees has an unimpressive lineup and they're being booked by the same people that book Bonnaroo, why exactly are we optimistic that they did a better job for Bonnaroo with stronger European competition?

Because it could imply that they shifted focus to rebuilding Bonnaroo which took some acts away from SK.
My dread has been released, still not expecting anything close to a homerun

I think most of us believe Livenation really held their own in terms of competition and having the BIG BUCKS

I've got to imagine they have enough staff to multitask this stuff.

Not staff. They may have given more preference to Bonnaroo when deciding which fest should get which acts. That's a massive oversimplification of the booking process, but that's the reason to see SK's letdown as a positive for Roo.
