Yeah, the true struggle is where I think Chance would be put on the schedule because he could be pre-headliner, which closer, or which late night. I think I will probably switch him to which closer and move Kygo to Which late night, but my own personal tastes get in the way of realistic logistics haha.
Edit: Fixed.
Now you have Vic Mensa and Chance conflicting man...that can't happen.
Some pretty bright spots in the Okeechobee lineup. .Paak, Solange, Usher, Blood Orange, badbadnotgood, George Clinton, Tennyson, ect.
Not enough to get me to say I will definitely be there. But enough that is going to have me paying attention when they release the next wave. I believe last year some really solid things like Robert Plant weren't in the initial announcement?
pretty sure you're right about plant.
Phase 2 adds last year were: Bassnectar The Avett Brothers Odesza Kill the Noise Lil Dicky Nahko and Medicine for the people Lettuce White Denim Post Malone Booker T. Jones Dungeon Family and Friends The Shelters
If you do look at the mock, I'm really interested in how y'all like each day and if you would go to this.
wouldnt spend the money on this. ive seen U2 and all the good undercard acts are set to be everywhere this summer. would go if i lived within a couple of hours but i dont think its worth the trip as far as i am.

As someone who experienced Childish Gambino's crowd in 2015, I really don't think Chance would work pre headlining on the Which. I think the best spot would be before The Weeknd even though there would be a lot of crossover and Bonnaroo typically doesn't book similar acts back to back on the What Stage. But I guess Lorde and The Weeknd could also be considered too similar since they are both pop acts. Anyways what I'd do is put Chance before The Weeknd, then Lorde or The Lumineers could pre headline before RHCP while the other one takes the Which Stage.

That was the other debate I was facing with myself in: would Lorde be 4, or Chance? I think Avetts will not be the 4, but they won't be demoted after 2015.

Well personally...I'd just throw out Avetts and put Beck as #4. Then Lorde or Chance could be #5

But the Avetts have played every other year since like 2006 or 2008 I believe excluding last year, and I think they didn't play last year because they didn't have a new album since 2014. I just see it being more probable that we have the Avetts over Beck.

I see what you're saying, but that's the exact reason I'd put Beck over Avetts. If the Avetts aren't moving up on the lineup, then what's the point in booking them again after they've already played a million times? Meanwhile Beck hasn't played in over ten years, and he's a no brainer for Bonnaroo

Umphrey's was on the every-other-year plan for a while but they just recently broke that trend. Hopefully Roo will look at Luminers/Avetts as an either/or scenario and book the band that more recently released an album.

here's my impressions, with zero research into the names i'm not familiar with:
Thursday - Kaytranada is the only act that really interests me. Lil' Dicky > D.R.A.M. could be a fun time though.
Friday
White Lung > Diarrhea Planet to open the day is pretty great. Love that you put Gregory Porter right afterwards, might catch his set. Anderson .Paak in a tent doesn't feel right to me, he's probably a stage act at this point right? I could be wrong. I still haven't listened to The Avalanches, but I'm sure some people would be upset with them conflicting with Lorde, but it is what it is. I'd catch one of them or split sets.
OK so I just put on The Avalanches "Frankie Sinatra", this is neat.
Maybe catch RHCP or do something else during the time. Oh, I see I could leave early to catch Big Gigantic, that's pretty cool. I like Big G but don't love them. Japandroids > Lotus on The Other is a great pairing.
Overall, Friday looks to be a fun day from soup to nuts.
Saturday
Start with All Them Witches, then head to Sturgill Simpson. Dislike that Wavves conflicts with Sturgill, but it's an easy choice for me.
My first really painful conflict is James Blake vs Savages. And a bonus conflict of Jai Wolf at the same time, who I don't love but would like to catch. I've never seen Savages so I'd have to catch them, but had such an incredible experience last time James Blake was at Roo. Shit I just noticed Savages conflicts with Chance? Jesus man. Don't get me wrong, it feels very Bonnaroo to have a conflict this bad, but for me personally it's pretty terrible. At least they are slightly staggered so I could catch partial sets.
Ryan Adams vs. Jim James is kind of a bummer, but I'd be at RA for sure.
On to The Weeknd, then partial Schoolboy Q > UM. I'm done with Superjams after last year.
Overall, plenty for me to do on Saturday, but that whole Chance/James Blake/Savages/Jai Wolf thing you have going on is brutal.
Sunday
Sleeping in today for sure. Maybe catch some of Mavis Staples, then PHJB, then Foals / Robert Randolph split. Hall & Oates > U2.
Again, great job creating a realistic lineup and schedule, it's a lot of fun looking at these. Would I buy a ticket to this Bonnaroo? Maybe.

Couple of responses:
The hardest conflict for me was figuring out schedule placement between Ryan Adams - Silversun Pickups - The Avalanches - Jim James. Putting Jim James on Friday would have really stacked Friday, and the last two years have not been that stacked. I also didn't see Ryan Adams conflicting with Silversun Pickups, and I Didn't see The Avalanches conflicting with James Blake. It's really hard to make the schedule and not have conflicts, as I use last year's schedule as a template of what to follow to make it as realistic as possible.
Also, thanks for responding! I really like making these not just for myself, but for my friends and other people to see.
U2/ RHCP/ The Weeknd/ Beck Chance/ Kygo/ The xx/ QotSA/ Fleet Foxes Ryan Adams/ Duran Duran/ Pretty Lights Solange/ Schoolboy Q/ Chic ft Nile Rogers/ Glass Animals/ Jim James/ Young Thug/ Big Gigantic/ Kaleo/ Anderson .Paak
This is pretty solid, especially that stretch of xx, QotSA, & Fleet Foxes. But I think Jim James wouldn't quite be this high. I think he was in the 30-35ish range when he last played.
Usher & The Roots - probably a one off but this would be fantastic
When The Weeknd dropped out of the Formula1 performance here last month, Usher & The Roots replaced him.
edit: kept reading, saw this was addressed. sorry... but if we did get Usher & The Roots, where would they be billed? I mean, Usher is arguably a HL, so I feel like there would be no way we'd get this... esp since we got The Weeknd. But it's fun to discuss.

4th or 5th, Which Stage, starting OR ending halfway through the headliner.
Chance The Rapper > The Weeknd > Usher w/ The Roots > George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic
Book it
Is that in reverse order?
This does bring to mind a change that I'd like to see in their programming instead of scheduling their to acts to close stages and tents like they do now, is rather that they put the biggest artists in the biggest spaces. Top four or five of the day go on What. Next five go on Which. Then stratify the stages with the remaining artists as per usual.
I hate having the What and Which stages so barren during early or tents unnecessarily crowded. This solves that issue and everyone gets better sightlines. Exceptions would be made for Late Night.

I would be super happy if all these acts showed up on the line up. But U2 / RHCP / The Weeknd / Usher & The Roots / Chance would be how that'd prob be billed and I don't think Roo would book three hip-hop/r&b acts back to back like that, esp in the top 3/5 spots. They usually try to have way more variety than that in their top two lines. Prove me wrong Roo!
With the possibility of Chance playing, Im trying to get into his music and I just can't. I've only listened to Coloring Book...is there something else he's done I should check out? Suggestions?
