Alt-J, Air, Live, and The Flaming Lips. Is what Roo needs. You can disagree but I'll be a happy camper. Oh well here's to wishful thinking and a letdown of some sort.
After seeing that neither Chella or GB got Alt-J....chances are that Alt-J coming out with a new album and then touring so soon was false.
I know, I'm really hoping they somehow manage to book them since I have dreaded my decision of not seeing them Thursday in 2013. It's been long enough, Roo needs them. I know so many people that would consider going if they were there.

They're already booked for a bunch of Euro fests this summer...

no one needs another Flaming Lips festival set
I love them, but it is so depressing to me that a band as musically adventurous to them has stuck to the same rigid format/general setlist for their live shows for so long
they've got a new album out so at least there'd be a few songs from there, other than that it would be the same 4 songs each from Soft Bulletin, Yoshimi, and Mystics
Surprised donglover hasn't made it back into any mocks since his appearance on the Gov Ball lineup (albeit way too high). Seems like a great fit for roo this year.
they were billed 7th the year after at Roo in 2014. So no.
Yeah my beloved does a lot of dumb shit, unfortunately.
Edit: then again I don't feel the need to defend this position with the guy saying Live is what roo needs.
To be fair I never said Roo needed it, merely that they'd be fun to fill in the 3EB spot of 90s shlock rock. Roo NEEDS many things but Ed Kolychzianaskdhk isn't one of them.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I thought both of the new albums were a little underwhelming, not that they both didn't have their good points, I just wasn't wowed by either as a whole. It's a really tough choice on who I want back this year being were probably only going to get one of them on the farm. I'm leaning toward wanting Chance just because I still love Acid Rap so much and haven't got to see him yet.

I like how you dumped all of the trash EDM confirmed so far all in one tent on Thursday.
Edit with my schedule: Thundercat > The Front Bottoms > Car Seat Headrest > Kaytranada
Beach Slang > Mac Demarco (though being so early and on the Which Stage would kill the energy) > Lorde > U2 (half of) > The Avalanches > Danny Brown (I think it would make more sense to move Avalanches to 12:30-1:30 and Danny Brown 2:00-3:00)
-camp for Chance pit all day- > Chance the Rapper > The Weeknd (some of) > The xx (wow this day has very little for me, but The xx and Chance would still make for a good day)
Preservation Jazz Hall Band > Cage the Elephant > Foals > Hall & Oates > RHCP
I can't say I wouldn't have a good time if I went but there's not a whole lot for me here.

I actually really like this schedule. My biggest conflict would be whether to go see Hall & Oats or get a good spot for RHCP. Other than that its amazing!

Well, my guess was that they were planning an all EDM tent on Thursday or something, with all the lower billed EDM acts that were announced. I just don't see an all EDM tent all weekend, or someone like freaking Borgore playing at 3:30 on Friday.
chance is hella overrated, but that new gambino is fire bruh
I didn't like the new Gambino to that much begin with, but CB is an album I like less and less with every listen. I still greatly prefer it to Gambino though.

Funny, CB has grown on me quite a bit since it came out... Didn't fully appreciate how strong the closer is until after I'd listened to the album a bit. Finish Line -> Drown -> Blessings reprise is pretty damn amazing. But the album overall doesn't have any low points for me. I didn't love it at first, but it's definitely one of my favorite releases of 2016 at this point.
Worth noting though that his live show is much weaker than the last time he played Bonnaroo. There's a lot more going on, but it's a lot less effective. At least for me.

I actually really enjoyed his show on this tour. And that was despite being in an incredibly obnoxious crowd. The CB tunes translated great, and I actually enjoyed the later bit of the show, which was pretty much all CB material, more than the rest.
