Its all about the rolls, whether a cheesesteak or a hoagie. Crusty seededs or soft chewy ones are preferable, but all must be freshly made. Most bread I have had elsewhere (the south, and California) seemed to contain alot of air and crumbles instead of tears.
The best hoagies are the ones so packed ya cant tell whats underneath it all.

As someone who makes sandwiches for a living, I have to respectfully disagree. There should be an appropriate meat to bread ratio. Too much meat on a grinder makes for a sloppy mess. I would end up taking off half of the meat and toppings on that sandwich before eating it. What's the point of good bread if you can't taste it?

The bread is the glue that holds that hot mess together. Yea, there are peppers, onions, and lettuce everywhere at the end, but thats why its wrapped in 3 yards of paper as a plate. Weak bread that will come apart as soon as the oil touches the roll and be even more of a mess because it cant handle the weight.

It's just not appetizing, that much meat and toppings only makes me believe they're making up for lack of quality ingredients by overcompensating on portions.

By the way, there's a reason I always pop back up in Inforoo in December and January. It's because Ohio winters are abysmal, and I need some positive things to think about, like warm-weather music festivals and The Wire. ...
