Based on the wording of the FB post, it seems as though U2 will be playing another festival after Bonnaroo.
There's no Atlanta date. So maybe Music Midtown.
Midtown has the ability to get some big headliners (Eminem) but I think ever since Conlon had most of his power taken away, they're becoming less top heavy. The Killers were the #1 this year.
I think this will obviously sell better than 2016, but I don't know how many average U2 fans will make the trip with all of the shows they are playing. It's not like the undercard will do much to get them there unless Roo is booking some legacy acts.

It's Livenation. That's the only reason I said that.

There's no Montreal date so possibly Osheaga.
The twitter page says Bonnaroo is U2s first ever U.S. festival. So you could infer there is a second U.S. festival that will have U2 headline this year. I am having a hard time struggling to think what festival it could be though. They have a Chicago date so no Lolla, they have an Arlington date, so that seems to rule them out for ACL. They don't have a Detroit date so CLEARLY Mopop is about to have U2 headline.

I would assume the chance to see U2 in a GA setting would be a big draw for a lot of folks.
