been drooling over this fest for a while now and with roo most likely being a bust for me this year, pitchfork is now my #1 priority. it's a 4 hour drive and half of the people i went to college with live there now. so yeah apologies in advance for any annoying newbie questions.
also i was listening to frank ocean when i opened this thread to discover him on a few mocks. guys, it's clearly meant to be.
I want to give her a second chance. I saw her during her last tour and it was really disappointing show. She was so bad that me and my friend, who had raved about her shows, walked out and went to see Big Audio Dynamite a few venues over.

I can't even see how this is possible. I think we've been over this before.

Assuming that Pfork is the weekend of July 15th, that would be the same the weekend as the Longitude festival in Ireland. Some of the artists that they have listed and most likely rule them out of the Pfork festival would include:
The National Father John Misty ASAP Ferg Tyler the Creator Action Bronson MO

i'd go ahead & say death grips is likely because if they tour they'll either play lollapalooza or pitchfork to redeem themselves for bailing on both of the festival the last few years... but what the fuck am i saying it's death grips. they'll probably start their own electro doom chillwave festival the same weekend as pitchfork & not show up or some shit.
I'd say the HudMo add to Forecastle makes him a lock for this right?
He played a few years ago and was stellar. I'd welcome him back, for sure. The name that caught my eye was Unknown Mortal Orchestra. They played Paris last year and could see them getting booked for Chicago this one.
E: just went back and saw he played Paris too. Fingers crossed.

I don't think P4K (or Lolla) would give them another shot after they no showed.

UMO is playing Chicago on May 10th. Not sure it makes a difference for their odds to play Pitchfork, but worth mentioning.
