Agreed. They are kinda slipping in people without much fanfare. The three artist Additions I'm looking forward to the most so far are Sir the Baptist, Holy White Hounds, and The Record Company (whom have had Robert Randolph basically say that they are the future of music).
That's awesome, haven't read that before about Robert Randolph. Discover weekly playlist in spotify initially turned me on to them. Listened to their album when they released it and have been listening to it ever since. It was depressing to see them on other line-ups but luckily Bonnaroo came through and booked them too. Really looking forward to this show.

Sound issues aside, the Lunar Stage was a godsend compared to the talent they put on the Kalliope. Look at the damn 2010 lineup for crying out loud:
Kaskade The Crystal Method (DJ set) Sharam Mark Knight Timo Maas Lee Burridge Danny Howells Afrojack Hercules and Love Affair (DJ set) LA Riots Dieselboy
Sound bleed from lunar stage was 10x worse than kalliope. I couldn't hear GWAR for fucks sake
And the Lunar Stage had the added "bonus" of ruining the sound for daytime sets too because it played that stupid-assed Green Day Rock Band game all. day. long.

I think Kalliope was Roo's answer to the Lunar Stage sound bleed fiasco. Plus, they can say "look, we got more EDM playing for you".
I have always wondered why they just don't make Centeroo bigger. There are ways to do it where sound bleed would not be an issue and realistically, it could be configured where it wouldn't take up that much more room. They got rid of Cafe Where and now The Who Stage has HORRIBLE bleed/sound issues too.

I'm right there with you on making centeroo bigger. Could really use some breathing room around the stages/ could we at least point the stages away from each other. Now that they have car passes I will be interested to see if there's a noticeable difference in amount of cars, if so there should be ample space from that to beef centeroo up a bit.
"He sounds like the version of music that is popular right now that would play in the background of a movie because they can’t license the real thing."

Embarrassingly, when I saw that Bryson Tiller had a sold out show in Minneapolis a few months back, I looked at his name and assumed he was a country singer I hadn't heard of before.
I call it Inforoo Distortion Principle. It's really ruined my ability to gauge crowd sizes for shows in town.
I'm definitely guilty. I never listen to radio so I have no idea about most pop music. When Bryson Tiller was added I had never heard of him.
That's fair, but even so he's been making waves in the Internet too. I'm not really saying he's fantastic (a few songs are decent), but it's been hard to avoid him ever since his album came out

I wasn't saying I've never heard of him, moreso that his album is the furthest thing from deserving of a platinum record
For how good most people's music tastes are on here, is shocking how unaware you guys can be about current big artists.
What does good taste and modern pop music have in common? The two are not exclusive. This statement reads as if you have to have good tastes to like current big acts.
I know Tiller through friends that love current stuff like Future, Fetty Wap and Tiller. But think Kendrick Lamar is terrible. Could not disagree more with them, but tastes are all subjective. But "good" tastes and current big artists: I fail to see the correlation.
edit: All I listen to is Satellite radio, ITunes, and Spotify- so I am very self selective. I would not self select Bryson Tiller.
May Tycho May Phoenix June Rooo July MMJ and Margo Price August Queen with Adam Lambert August Roger Waters (Bucket list #1) August Spoon and Portugal the man Sept Depeche Mode Sept Pilgrimage Fest

I listen to the radio quite a bit, Toledo doesn't have a ton to offer so I end up on the "pop station" often and I had never heard of him. I checked him out on Spotify and his songs didn't sound familiar. I asked my good friend whose going(who is big into hip hop and R&B) and he also had no idea who he was. I was shocked to find out how big Tiller was.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

The Saturday Club Stages are shaping up quite nicely for me, which I guess is a nice mea culpa for the shizshow that is the main stages that day. Really digging Sir the Baptist, Grandma Sparrow, Amasa Hines and Isaac Gracie.
