West Virginia, Ohio Valley and PA people who like bluegrass or folk music! Here is a great little, young 2 day music fest that needs our help: Montani Semper Liberi
3 headliners. The Steel Wheels (who are truly one of the best live acts I have ever seen). Dom Flemons (from The Carolina Chocolate Drops!). Davina & the Vagabonds (great jazz blues gospel group known for their live shows). Parsonfield (mini Avett Brothers), Blue Lunch and many others.
Cheap tickets! Only $20 for one day or a measley $45 for both days! Lots of artisan vendors, crafts, and stuff to buy. facebook
I'm repping this hard because it is in my hometown, New Cumberland, WV, and my cousin has been trying to get this off the ground. I think the people behind this have done a great job of booking extremely talented musicians and are trying to showcase old Appalachian culture in a diverse and inclusive way. The theater it takes place in is very intimate with great acoustics.
The weekend will also have an "Open Porch" stage for all to play! Guests are encouraged to bring their instruments and have fun.
Id actually come down and support but we'll be in Deep Creek that weekend for my birthday. Ill pass the word along though. I have alot of friends into Bluegrass/Folk here and in WV.
