Sunday feels even more folky than usual. I don't mind, but it felt like there were some electronic and hip-hop offerings the last couple years, but because this lineup is so light on that stuff they're probably making it mostly late-night this year.
Still I don't know why you guys are so down on a day that has Dead & Co, DCFC, FJM, Kurt Vile, Cymande, and Lettuce. Other than the likelihood of only being able to see half of those
I couldn't agree more.
This lineup was extremely thin on hip-hop/EDM, what little they had was going to be placed when the sun is down. If I can catch Lettuce -> Jason Isbell -> FJM -> Dead & Co. then Sunday will probably be my favorite day.
....no FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK TAME IMPALA AND TYLER THE CREATOR ARE PROBABLY GOING TO CONFLICT NOW!!!! I CAN'T CHOOSE BETWEEN THOSE TWO!? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DECIDE. I'M SO OVER YOU BONNAROO
WHY DON'T YOU JUST PUT EVERYTHING I WANT TO SEE ON FRIDAY BONNAROO!? Besides a decent looking Thursday, and Death Cab For Cutie on Sunday....everything I really care about is on Friday. Like it looks cool at first to see so much highlighted on one day, until I realize they're all going to conflict.

I have to miss Saturday for a wedding, so this looks perfect for me. I was "debating" coming back Sunday depending on who's playing, but knowing it would be The Dead, I basically already made up my mind that I'd be coming back. It's my cousin's wedding, though, so I haven't told my family yet. I guess I should do that today so I can go ahead and book my plane tickets.
This will be a crazy weekend schedule for me- I'm leaving super early Saturday to catch a flight out of Nashville to Pittsburgh (losing an hour), where I'm renting a car and driving north to Erie, PA. I'm changing quickly, then heading northeast along I-90 until I get to the vineyard where my cousin is having her wedding. I only have a save-the-date so far, not an invitation, so I only know that it's a vineyard near the "town" of North East, PA, which means anywhere from the edge of Erie all the way along I-90 to the NY state line. I'll then have to be back in Pittsburgh for a ~6 AM (eastern) flight, putting me in Nashville before noon local time. I'll be back on the Farm by about 1 PM on Sunday! Woooo!!
Death Cab vs Bluegrass Situation vs Cymande vs Dead & Co pit line is going to be my idea of hell
I honestly think they might put DCfC on the What Stage since they were the Sunday Which closer last time they played Roo (2008?). They usually try to mix things up. Then again, with this being the 15th Roo, I could see them doing it again as a "tribute" or something. I guess a lot of it depends on what the whole "2 shows" thing means for The Dead

So far it doesn't look like there's any major threats to conflict with the superjam, so I'm at least happy about that. Possibly Claypool Lennon Delirium

See Phish 2012
You mean Phish 2009? Unless I'm forgetting something, which is always possible, Phish just had one show in 2012. Even then, Phish's two 2009 shows were on different days; one Friday LN on the What Stage, and the other was the Sunday HL slot. The day-by-day has The Dead & Co. listed on Sunday as "Dead & Company (2 Sets)"

Holy shit that's crazy
Yes, yes it is. I wouldn't do this for any festival except Roo. This will be my 10th Roo, all in a row, so it's an extra-special year for me. Additionally, I (well, my parents) live only a few hours from Manchester, so the trip there is cheap. The cost of this plane ticket basically makes the whole Roo experience as expensive as if I had to fly there. It's not that outrageous of a cost if you look at it that way (or at least that's what I'm telling myself).
And most of these bands just make me feel like "yeah, I'd like to see them". Very little excitement. I had managed to get myself excited for this year's Roo, but seeing this by-day schedule has taken all the wind out of my sail.

Phish played 2 sets in 2012. One show, but with a break in between both sets. D&C will do the same.

Nope, in 2012 Phish was listed as (Two Sets). I know because I made a fool of myself that year swearing they would play two shows similar to 2009. Dead will play 90 minutes, then a break, then 75 minutes then an encore. That's it.
Oh god...if LCD, M83, Tame Impala, and CHVRCHES all end up on Friday...this isn't going to end well. Bonnaroo always has to screw my Fridays over by stacking it with everything I want to see

At least cashmere cat and waxahatchee are playing thursday. If you really want a laugh, go compare thursday 2016 with 2013.
I'll echo that saturday is absolutely dire. Sunday looks like the boring white man hour (FJM excluded). I was over my bummed-ness but now its back full force ((

As light as this lineup was for me personally, Thursday is packed with bands I wanted to see on the farm. I'm excited and bummed at the same time, knowing I'll miss a few and that the weekend days might not have much to get me into Centeroo early.
Saturday LN looks to be atrocious. We probably will only get a couple adds so hopefully one of them will be a Saturday LN addition like D'Angelo last year...
