a) someone who was going that hard with Heineken Light.
and
b) Mr. "I don't know anyone who drinks beer for the taste."
if you say you drink beer for the taste, you are a lying fuck.
You haven't had good beers then.
Believe me, I used to think along a similar line. I got to where beer didn't really bother me, but I'd never say I enjoyed the taste.
Turns out, I just wasn't drinking the right beers for my palate. Sour and funky beers, those were made for me. Love me some saisons and a Berliner Weisse too. It was the bitterness that turned me off. Still don't really do IPAs, but slowly trying to build a taste for them since they smell like heaven.
I'll be bringing some Live Oak Hefe and Pilz, those are some damn good beers in traditional styles.
Edit: Just realized this was the brunch thread. I'll bring along a six pack of the Hefe with me to brunch. Maybe a sixes of the Pilz too, depends how many I pick up.

I'm sure there are some fine beers out there. But in terms of major beers (Dos Equis, Heineken, etc), they're all shit.

And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
Got a bag packed with paper towels, forks/spoons, cups, serving utensils. Since Druid won't be there I guess I'll bring my two jugs of Apple Pie. It won't be long now.

I should have asked my Dad and Sister-in-law for some beer recommendations for you...
I have some sad news to report - I just realized I can't bring the Fireball because it's an open container and my car doesn't have a trunk. Please try and contain your grief.
Tennessee open container laws basically say if it is out of reach of the driver or inaccessible it's OK. Plus you need to it in plastic anyway. Throw it in a nalgene and out it under the passenger seat and you'll be fine.
It's already in a plastic bottle, which is the good part. And I didn't know that about Tennessee's laws, either, but I'm more concerned because my car is small and there's going to be someone under 21 in it as well. I'd just rather not risk it, especially since I'm driving such a long distance.

Only 2 jugs?! How do we get more?!!!
Well, I won't be drinking this Roo. Was recommended to lay off the booze before my biopsy. I'll have to find other ways to have my fun.
