Well, I won't be drinking this Roo. Was recommended to lay off the booze before my biopsy. I'll have to find other ways to have my fun.
You can sit with me & we can commiserate together. Brunch will still be a blast; I've just never done it sober.
Honestly I think everyone should do this one sober. It's going to be way too hot to drink that much that early. Please everyone pace yourself, I don't want any of you to die.
I guess I'm totally late but I'm officially RSVPing to this shindig. Had a great time at my first brunch last year, wouldn't want to miss it again. I already purchased a set of plates, cups, and forks... But it looks like we may have a surplus of those things this year. It almost looks like we need more food... any suggestions?

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
if you say you drink beer for the taste, you are a lying fuck.
Spoken like a true 17 year old.
All in good time, Young Padawan.
Ive never acquired a taste for beer tbh, maybe im still young but I am definitely legal. Beer does kinda suck and I dont see how you could fully enjoy one. Never liked IPA's or weird flavored beers either. Blue moon tastes not too far off from bud light.
Lets just set the record straight, a significantly large group of people would stop drinking beer if it didnt get you drunk. Just like I wouldnt eat corn if it wasnt so damn delicious.

This is definitelyyyyyyy false. I know well that you personally hate beer (and I don't get it, but thats ok!), but I would venture to guess that something like 80-90% of beer drinkers above the age of 25 drink it predominantly because they enjoy the taste and overall beer drinking experience. Yeah it can also be an avenue towards the goal of getting trashed, but if taste didn't matter to anyone, they'd just drink vodka to get drunk because it is way lower in calories and can be consumed in shot form for optimal ~getting wasted~ effect.

Drinking beer to get wasted is a complete waste of time. Drink beer because you like the taste and the buzz is a side effect.

Let me just clarify by saying that when I say drunk, that ranges from buzzed all the way up to trashed. My bottom line is I doubt these beer drinkers are completely indifferent to the effects, these effects are a major part of the beer drinking experience afterall.

Well, taste does matter but it's not that people LIKE the taste of beer in general, they LIKE it compared to vodka; its relative. Plus beer just happens to be a more casual way to get drunk. If you went to a bonfire and saw people drinking vodka, you'd think it's weird and intense. Beer just happens to be more casual and (sometimes) cheaper.
But then again, I'm underage and have never consumed alcohol because that would be illegal so my opinion here is void.
