Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Looks like only one Break Science set with the live band? I don't see a second set on there. This schedule is really great for me but it is looking like I can't make it now. Still holding out hope though.
Biggest conflicts:
Friday Kung Fu vs. Reed Mathis Electric Beethoven vs. Primate Fiasco Saturday Tauk vs. Shwikus Plays the Beatles Saturday Keller Grateful Grass vs. Lespecial Primus Tribute

You been to Chill before?
Love that you listed my biggest conflict (Shwikus vs TAUK).
All of Sunday is a mess for me:
PPPP vs Dopapod vs Beau vs Nth vs American Babies vs start of Greensky

Electron vs P-Groove vs Danny
Break Sci vs Werks vs PPPP
Partiwerks vs G-Nome
I haven't been to Chill before. The collaboration/tribute/special sets are always a draw to me though. Chill has always been on the radar but never been able to pull it off. I didn't even bother looking at Sunday because I knew it would depress me but those are some conflicts for sure. If we go, we will have to leave early Sunday morning due to a family engagement. Trying to decide if getting babysitters, changing work schedules, driving a few hours away from the baby for a couple days and spending the money for just Friday/Saturday is worth it.

Ahh. How do you know about Shwikus then?
Just from researching the lineup and YouTube videos.

Awesome! Jon - Fikus's keyboard player is the one that convinced me to bring my camera for 2011 which is where I started shooting shows. My path will probably be FiKus, Main Squeeze, ShwizZ, maybe Particle, TAUK. I should make sure to catch at least a little if Shwikus ss I've seen all of their performances so far (4 lol)
Has anyone been able to find the festival map online yet? Their website has none, and the google map image of the Neighborhoods, show the main stage location, but not much else.
I am trying to get on top of things here to make bandannas with the daily schedule on one side and map on the other. If I have too, I'll just use google maps, but the official designed map is ideal.

They responded to someone on Facebook saying it will be out soon. Not sure what soon means but at least they are aware it is running behind.
I wish main stage and B stage were closer together like in the past. Here are some bands to check out if you can break from the larger acts:
Funky Dawgs Brass Band Haley Jane & the Primates Primate Fiasco Jen Durkin Beau Sasser's Escape Plan Danny Mayer Trio Deep Banana Blackout G-Nome Project
Some videos in the spoiler of ShwiKus, FiKus, and ShwizZ
ShwiKus with Pink Talking Fish filmed by my boy who will be covering with me. at one point they grab his phone and film from stage:
Full ShwiKus P-Funk tribute:
FiKus from Chill 11 doing "Michael Phelps"
ShwizZ - Hog Thai
I need to figure out how to clone myself for this fest. or toss coins for conflicts. Only one that really hurts is TAUK vs ShwiKus as they are friends vs friends.
Funky Dawgs Brass Band - Missed them at Peach but heard they put on a great show
Primate Fiasco- First act on Thursday at Peach. Stole the weekend for me as they played multiple impromptu sets all over the venue and were just an awesome time
Beau Sasser's Escape Plan - Caught most of the members at a Dead & Co. after party in Albany last year. Great show and great people.
Chances just went from 10% to about 60%. Got me looking at the schedule. Here would be my plan going in. Realize it is ambitious and probably would take some time at camp for beers and food somewhere in there but....
Thurs: Not sure I would be going for Thursday
Fri: Funky Dawgs Brass Band > Zach Deputy > Beginning of Hayley Jane & the Primates > Beginning of Kung Fu > Primate Fiasco > End of Reed Mathis Electric Beethoven > George Clinton > Pink Talking Fish > Mike Gordon > Pink Talking Fu > Maybe something late night
Saturday: Ryan Montbleau > Little bit of Jenn Durkin > Cabinet > Formula 5 > Beginning of Swikus Plays the Beatles > End of Tauk > Keller Williams Grateful Grass > Beginning of Turkuaz > Beginning of Heavy Pets Play the 80’s > Beginning of Turbine Radiodead > End of Lettuce > Dopaquaz > Big Something > Chillfam All Stars Play Michael Jackson (and hopefully a pop over to Magic Beans)
Sunday: Roosevelt Collier’s NY Get Down > Bitches Bloom Tribute to Myles Davis > Some of Deep Banana Blackout > Pigeons Playing Ping Pong > End of Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan > Beginning of Nth Power > Beginning of Elise Testone’s Tribute to Led Zeppelin > Middle of American Babies > Greensky Bluegrass > Leave for Home (or Perpetual Groove if I feel like dying at work on Monday)
I haven't really paid much attention to this fest.. I just realized two of my favorites (maybe even my two favorites) are both playing first on their respective days (Ryan Montbleau and Funky Dawgs). I am going to make sure that I am up and moving!

Good reminder! I actually started packing last night, not that I am usually that proactive, but I happened to be doing a lot laundry and such anyways. I already have extra warm things packed. It was COLD last year! I was happy as a clam in a normal dress and my flying squirrel kigurumi while walking and dancing. That thing is cozy! However, to sleep, I slept in leggings, in the kigurumi, under my blanket and under my towel. Brrrrr!
Also, like Minglewood, this place is in the middle of nowhere. My friend and I had a little trouble finding the place at the last festival because of lost GPS signal. I would suggest printing out directions to and from!

I think for Campfire, GA camping was where RV/overflow camping is for this- but it was very convenient to where they had their stages, vendors, etc. set up.
I'm intrigued as to how they expect us to get from parking to that venue entrance. I hope we aren't going to have to trek around to the "entrance"

I hope that isn't the case. would be a shitshow for everyone. Maybe shuttles and/or wagons?
Based on where media was put in previous years, I'll probably be camping very close to the RV section as that is where we have parked each time prior

I was wondering the same thing, especially since the video that showed the new venue said specifically that you just have to walk throigh a thin tree line to get to camping. The box office is also on the complete other side.
I'm up to 95% on going now and have a buddy whonis coming if he can find a cheaper ticket. So some questions:
Are you guys going to the Thursday preparty?
Given the map, where are you looking to camp?
What are people's camps normally like? For Peach we bring our six person tent and a canopy. Is that large setup normal at Chill? I don't want to be "that guy" if others aren't doing the same.

We just have a tent but need to be as close as possible to our car to lock up our gear. also only thing we do at our campsite is sleep so don't need anything else. That setup would be fine. lot of people go the minimal route but you see some extravagant setups so you won't stick out to much with just that.
I'll be there Thursday, planning to arrive early afternoon so we can get set up, scout, and stuff ourselves with corn with time to spare before the music starts.

Note to all - Expect through searches
Ok cool. We're planning to go Thursday but I have to babysit until the girlfriend is home from work so we probably won't leave until 5:30ish which puts us at the venue around 9. It is going to be interesting setting up quickly in the dark and then racing over to Twiddle, but I imagine we'll have a decent area coming the day early. What is the rule on cameras? I have an old Nikon D3000 that might be fun to mess around with. I don't even know how to use it so I won't be challenging any of you pro shooters but a couple personal pics might be fun.
Edit: And how thorough? Like tearing stuff apart thorough?

1. Yes, I'll be there.
2. Ideally, I guess we'll try to camp in the middle of one of the cabin circles (U being my preference). I am sure they will fill up first, but I should be there relatively early. Last year, we got to Minglewood early afternoon on the first day, and the best area was pretty full. We did some laps and found space though. Ended up with a pretty good spot!
3. You'll be fine. I went with 3 other people (one bigger two room tent, a 6-person, and a mini 2-person). We had two ez-ups of common area.

I got my start (concerts) with my Nikon D60 there from the crowd in 2011 so you will be fine most of the time as lights are good on the main stages. Club Chill might be tough. They should let you use your 3300 anywhere your ticket allows you to go so definitely bring it!
The searches went through car consoles and glove boxes, emptied trunks at times. At times getting into venue area can be intense as there were some idiots who caused problems in past years.
So my girlfriend just won two VIP tickets. She is only coming for one night and one day so she is giving them to me and my buddy and we'e going to try to upgrade hers. So stoked. 100% in now.
Just got home from work. Finishing up some packing and shopping. The girlfriends uncle is up from Nashville with the band he tours with so going to catch that tonight. Then trying to get some sort of sleep even though its unlikely.
My buddy and I should be arriving around 2:30. Get in and set up and have a beer or two before heading to Aqueous. The girlfriend is coming down late Thursday. Can't wait.

That's about when we plan to arrive. Aqueous rips! Great band to start off.
Since I saw TAUK Friday and heard their 1 song I NEEDED to I can split and catch the second half of Shwikus now!
