Wait until around the 3rd week in May. I've used Stubhub the last 3 years to get tickets for Roo, purchased them all at the end of May and have paid the following:
2015 - $270 2014 - $265 2013 - $270
The ticket prices will drop rapidly when the shipping deadline for Stubhub gets closer.

You can get screaming deals on tickets if you are patient and track pricing daily. I got a pair of vip tickets with parking pass and all for $1000 total on stubhub (so 55% off list). Once tickets ship price will bottom out for a couple weeks. Would not be surprised to see 225-250 tickets.

Saw tickets going for like $330 on stubhub with fees, lowest I've seen, and they were sold within minutes. I thought prices would be lower at this point.

If ticket sales are down in general, like we assume they are, it would make sense that the secondary market is light as well.

I still don't know if I think ticket sales are down or the crowd will just be different this year.

I think your percentage is a tad off, VIP list price is 1698.00. Wish I would have done the same and saved a couple hundy

I've been scouring the secondhand market extensively today, and I'm really surprised by the lack of availability. I wasn't willing to pay full price for tickets because the lineup does not warrant it. However, what tickets are available have been listed at near face-value ($300-350). Not only do people not want to go, but the people that have tickets aren't willing to negotiate. The supply/demand curve is way whacked out this year.

Alright y'all, let's get real. I've run the gamut of second-hand sales today, and the results have been truly comical. Two people have told me they would rather waste a ticket than to sell them for less than face value. One person told me, "I'd rather toss the tickets in the trash than to sell them for what you're asking for." Bonnaroo tickets are apparently so worthless that people would rather throw them away than sell them? Yikes.

I've been asking for 2 GA tickets for $500, and 2 VIP for $750. I know it's a low price, but to take nothing rather than something, with a lack of other offers, with Roo approaching quickly, doesn't make much sense to me. I've seen a lot of people try to sell artist and guest passes for outlandish prices, and they've had the strongest reactions to negotiation. Interesting considering they probably got them comped.

Lol Id tell you the same thing. just BC a bakery is throwing away its bread at the end of the day doesn't mean you get to walk in and set prices...

FUck that, they better lock their dumpsters! #CheapEats
Every year I buy my daughters Roo tickets off local CL, face to face, public place, cash. This year I paid $300, but one year we paid $125 one day before Roo.
There was some nut on eBay who was trying to sell two VIP tix for $2600 last month, cuz he knew for sure that VIP would sell out and people would be desperate. Sure.

The bakery buys in bulk and the price they sell their goods for is at a profit. Therefore they have already made money when they throw bread away. Buying full prob tickets and then not selling them for anything is not the same as throwing away bread. Just saying

2 VIP for $750 is a low ball IMO, but $250 for a GA is a completely reasonable offer at this point. Sellers need to understand they are gunna take a hit.

I've been talking with a couple sellers for VIP at $1200, hopefully one will work out!

Agree 100% that $500 for two GA tixs is completely fair value

That's the deal I worked out for my wife and another inforooer's tix via Craigslist

I found two guest passes (black) with camping pass for $1100 through Craigslist. I've never had the VIP experience, this should be unique!
Tickets on Craigslist, eBay, StubHub, and r/bonnarootickets are still going for about $300 for GA, and $1200 for VIP package. Despite this year's low attendance, the high ticket prices have burned everybody.

Guest passes are different than VIP. Just making sure you know that. They camp in a totally different area.

Yes, I've been doing some research on what guest passes include and what they don't include. Camping in the shade and free liquor in the artist lounge may pay for itself.
There's not a real definitive list I've found on what guess passes include, do you know where I might be able to find that? Google searching has led me to a few posts here and at r/bonnaroo, but not sure if there's anything more official.

I have never seen anything official but I think that is one of those things since they aren't technically for sell, that they don't announce the accommodations for it. Best thing is to search what others have posted about it, and to post after the fest about it for others.

Guest pass gets you into the pits at the stages like where the RLARS people are, plus you have access to areas behind what and which stages (where you camp) which makes it easy to move between those two stages. If it's an artist guess pass you'll basically get access to the artist hospitality tent and shiz too.

The RLARS pit is wicked! Free beer and water and bandanas soaked in ice water!
