How long as it been since they offered single day passes? What does this say about attendance, are they really hurting? I have never been a fan of the "One Dayers" at other fests.

Is there anything to prevent single-day purchasers from staying in Centeroo all weekend?
No. If you purchased a Thursday single day + shuttle pass, you could enter Centeroo on Thursday and enjoy the festival the entire weekend. But ya know, no showers, and sleeping under a tree for 3 nights.

That sounds remarkably like about a quarter of the population of Bonnaroo...

Does anyone know if I purchase a single day pass but don't use the shuttle if I'll have any problems getting into roo? I know it's not cost effective but a friend and I are wanting to do Friday roo but only live about 4 hours away and would want access to our car to crash for a few hours before driving home Saturday. I know in the past there's been a day parking situation (not sure how this has changed with the whole car camping pass this year) but since camping is half the fun I'd want the chance to still participate if I could.

I came here to ask basically the exact same question. My friend and I are wanting to go Friday (we live in Huntsville, AL and did the whole festival every year from 2009-2013) and would prefer to drive. It is looking like the shuttle bus is the only option for single day tickets, though. I guess to discourage people from crashing like the others have stated. I think you can ONLY get your tickets at the shuttle pick-up in Nashville.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, though! If anyone has done this before or has any more info I would love to know how it works. We really want to go but with our work schedules we can't make it for the entire weekend this year.

So we think they would give you a wristband only in person in Nashville? I assumed they would mail it to you like they do with all the others. The only thing I was worried about was some sort of pre-scan happening at the shuttle site that would prevent you from entering centeroo if it wasn't scanned.

The shuttle system seems unnaturally stupid to me. What if you're coming from the South? They want you to drive an hour past Bonnaroo and get on a shuttle to go back in. That's terrible. I'd like to do a single day this year, but I don't want to ride in a shuttle.
Obviously there is some temptation to just sleep under a tree and stay all weekend. But that's a pretty uncomfortable way to spend two nights.

OK. Here's how to roll this....You come in with a hammock and a big backpack with lots of essentials in it, along with a hammock and poncho. Rent a locker and put all your stuff in it. Wander around like everyone else during the day, and at night find a place to hang your hammock. I think the Planet Roo had scaffolding people were hanging some off of, or maybe on the framework of the This or That tent? Eat and drink vendor food, and get your hair washed at the Fructis salon, and bathe wherever--at the water distribution centers, Splasharoo or the fountain. During the day chill at the Ford Back Porch (ac and free to enter!) Sounds doable and if I weren't 60+ I'd try it!
