I think my success in this will depend on how many people are familiar with quality British television - both older stuff (Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Poirot, Black Adder) and the more modern series (Sherlock, Skins, Luther).

It's odd that there are thirteen voters but only twenty-four votes. Should be thirty-nine. I could see twenty-nine but twenty-four seems really picky...

On the last round, it was 65 votes by 22 voters, so people were, on average, picking less than three, instead of picking five (and I know that some of us picked all five, so a fair amount of people were only picking one or two). Either it has something to do with not reading directions or the rest of our lineups were so bad that people refused to pick the full five.
I know that when I am competing, I only pick myself. That's how I figured twenty-nine. But, yeah, apparently people just aren't voting as much as they could.

I'm just still bitter that I didn't get more votes, although I realize that over half my list were shows that never really got a lot of attention and/or got cancelled too early, so they didn't get a chance to catch on. I love every single show that was on my list, and everyone else should love them too!

You're bitter! I only got two votes and one was mine!
I wanted my decisions to be "scientific", so my three picks came down to three separate but equally weighted criteria.
A. Ranking of the overall quality of the top 3 shows from each person's list 1. Abagofit (GoT, True Det., and Newsroom) 2. Tristan (Breaking Bad, Office, and Bob's Burgers) 3. JD (The Wire, Sports Center, and Friday Night Lights) 4. Jackwagon (SNL, Tosh.0, and House of Cards) 5. Rummy (Last Week Tonight, Planet Earth, and Boy Meets World)
B. Who won the most individual rounds (two rounds I gave no points) 1. Jackwagon (6 rounds) 2. Abagofit (4 rounds) 3. JD (3 rounds) 4. Tristan (2 rounds) 5. Rummy (1 round)
C. How many total shows each person picked that I actively or have actively watched and enjoyed 1. Jackwagon (9 shows) 2. Abagofit (6 shows) 3. (tie)Rummy and Tristan (5 shows) 5. JD (4 shows)

I can write you guys a poem about why my list is best, if you'd like.
(I'm just bitter I was 5th hehe)
You did run primarily British TV shows in the second half.
Yes. Because there are some fucking great British tv shows out there.
I really encourage people to check out the Brit shows on my list that they don't know - regardless of whether you want to vote for me or not. Fawlty Towers is a must-see for any Monty Python fan; it is John Cleese's best comedic work, IMO.
Skins does what a lot of American geared-towards-teens US series try to do but fail to: have enough humor to capture an audience, enough heart to keep them invested, and enough edge to shock/please the drama seekers.

I voted. Somehow I missed part 1 but the 3 of you who had shows I really love watching got my votes, I'm to lazy to research the ones I don't know so I used that method.

I didn't mean that as a bad thing. You picked some of the best the Brits have on offer. However, not many people know this, and people probably went with the familiar.
I'm still surprised you weren't the one to pick up The Thick of It (put the Skins pick was some good work).
