Gearing up for Barswick/Lattimore tonight. I'm not 100% but think I can jack myself up on meds enough to make it through the show. I'll see if I can get the lowdown on if either is playing the fest proper.

Sorry to hear you're sick! Tonight for me is Sigur Rós, and then tomorrow night is Big Ears veterans, Ryley Walker and Circuit des Yeux (and if I can swing it, Colin Stetson before the show!)
Somewhere around here you'll find a conversation where steveternal introduced me to Supersilent. This was years ago and the NyQuil is still in effect and I can't remember where. Don't take my word for it. Blame him.

That's the exact video I've been sharing with friends to spread the excitement!!!
I'm back to thinking Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore are going to be part of the 2017 line-up. Seems likely that artists included in a "preview" event would be performing...
It's a new tier. While the VIP definitely gets you more in terms of getting in first and first notifications of secret shows, I'm not sure that justifies $250 price hike from Premier.
That said, I'm picking up a GA pass for Mrs GL on Wednesday. She keeps asking what I want for my birthday and past wanting someone else to mow the yard, I got nothing.
$165 is perfect (though I think these will be tiered) for 4 days of music. It's $15 more than my beloved Hopscotch is with a day of more music.
I'm starting to agree with you. I have a feeling Mary Lattimore will show up on the lineup. Hoping for Barwick now, too.

Seems like both VIP and Premiere get you in first... unless there is a difference between "Priority entrance at all non-seated venues" (VIP) and "'Jump to the front' line access at all venue GA entrances, subject to capacity" (Premiere). I remember a few capacity issues from last year, but I can't remember if they happened 10+ minutes before the show (which is as far as the VIP guarantee goes... and that's just for the 'seated' venues). I'm definitely going to do the premiere because of the lines I stood in last year... but I'm going to need to think a bit longer about that price hike for VIP.

Latest FB post states, "As we're amping up for this week's lineup announcement..." I think the hint there is "amping." Amping is an anagram for "Pigman," which we all know is a track by the Subhumans. That track was on their 1985 album "Worlds Apart," which is a title shared by Canadian prog band SAGA. Therefore the latest hint is SAGA. The lineup just keeps getting better and better.

Yeah... if I remember correctly, they didn't drop hints on Philip Glass, Laurie Anderson, Andrew Bird, Sunn O))), Tony Conrad (RIP), Faust, Kamasi Washington, Marc Ribot, Wolf Eyes, etc... Yo La Tengo was held till the day before the announcement, as well. Wednesday can't come soon enough.
This is great news; regarding the duration of the event, they commented: "We'll start Thursday evening around 5pm and go into Sunday evening."
Perfect. Gives ample time to check in.
Yup. That's the place. Way more convenient than last year's church. I am pretty positive it's currently in use as a church, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's not open all the time.
