We've stayed at the Manchester Walmart on Wednesday night in an RV waiting for early Thursday opening of VIP camping. Fun.
But has anyone stayed in the Walmart parking lot on Tuesday night night as well?
I have not. But I do know that most Walmarts are explicitly tolerant of RVs, and semis in many cases. Walmart is everywhere, and they like keeping your business when you're on the road. I doubt Tuesday night would be a problem, but you could probably stay up the highway at the Murfreesboro Walmart on Tuesday if two consecutive nights is a problem.

Not sure about Tuesday night but I'll be hitting it up Wednesday night in our RV as we need to drop off our friends to GA so they can get a tent only spot! Ahh so excited but nervous as this will be my first time doing the whole parking at the Walmart thing.
Ok thanks. Yeah, it's a pretty fun scene. The parking lot is packed with campers, some with RVS, some in cars, some just wandering around. People coming out of Walmart with six foot high stacks of beer cases in their carts. Walmart staff wearing tie dyed shirts. The manager told me they take in more more during Roo than at Thanksgiving.
It's handy cuz you are a two minute drive to the VIP RV gate, which in the past has opened at 7am Thursday.
I have a time lapse video from sitting in the walmart parking lot a few hours last year. So many people meet up and then go. A few minutes later, the parking lot is full again. It's cool to watch.

it's on my computer. haven't posted it anywhere! Maybe i'll do that tonight and link it! I bought a time lapse camera a few years back and really only use it at bonnaroo lol pretty cool stuff!!

Yeah I don't have an RV but I have slept in my car at Walmart the last two years with no issue. Some people even set up tents and camping chairs. They make so much money those few days they probably don't mind the takeover of their parking lot. Almost all of the displays and endcaps are built with Bonnaroovians in mind.

Why leave the lot after Wednesday? I party at Wal-Mart for all four days. I'll maybe go into Roo to check out a food cart but then get back to the lot to listen to Radio Roo and party more. Been doing this since 2007. I'll have to check out the actual fest one day but I'm not in any rush.
Here is my time lapse. There are only 2 groups of people in my video but the rest of the parking lot was full of huge groups of people. It was really fun to watch. I was there for a few hours waiting on my favorite Michiganders! Anyway, sorry the video isn't very exciting lol but I promised I'd upload!
EDIT: idk how to change the date at the bottom of the time lapse camera. do not pay attention to the date or time.
