So this year I cant make it to bonnaroo because I'm taking summer classes. Skipping one class doesn't seem so mad but when you only have a 8 week session it could be. Any ways I sold my ticket that I earned through the Bonnaroo Street Team on StubHub. So the package I got included the wristband and a voucher for all the swag that comes with the 2016 tickets. I sent all that I received and a nice little note telling them about both items, have some spicy pie and Happy Roo.
So the idiot that bought the tickets doesn't understand that the wristband is the actual ticket even though I wrote it out. They cancel the order and I get charged a 20% fee plus they took back the money that I got for the ticket. put heres the kicker, they money I got from Stub Hub isn't even in my account since it has to be sent to paypal then to my bank account. so im out $360 plus I dont have my wristband and it probably wont be shipped back to me in time for me to actually use. Plus there's no guarantee that the idiot doesn't keep the wristband thinking its a pretty bracelet.
This is what I get for being nice. *** Currently calling StubHub
Call your bank/credit card/PayPal and tell them not to let the transaction go through. Tell them that you are a victim of fraud and explain what is going on. They should be able to stop the transaction.

Call Stubhub and be persistent until you talk to an actual person, and definitely ask for the person's supervisor if they are unwilling to help you. Be sure to be as pleasant as possible, and find something to laugh about. I don't know how good they are about helping sellers when buyers are morons, but apparently you have nothing to lose.

THIS this this! Don't be an aggressive dick even though you have every right to be. I've worked customer service in 1 fashion or another most of my adult life hit up the CS agent like it's both of your's problem (because it is) and you just want to get a resolution. You'll be amazed at how far you can get by not being a dick to someone who really has no immediate power to help you. Good luck!

Def be nice to CSRs. Chances are they hate their employer as much as you do.

mypatronusispatron since you have my attention I'm really curious how this is turning out. I've never bought or sold a ticket on stubhub but depending on how this works out for you it will probably result in me making a life long decision about their service. I seriously wish you the best of luck & keeping us abreast of how it's shaking down will be helpful for present and future attendees considering buying/selling tickets. It's my understanding that Ticketmaster/Live Nation doesn't own Stubhub and Stubhub actually represents a legitimate competition to their monopoly. I'm very curious how Stubhub is going to treat you. I'd expect Ticketmaser/Live Nation to tell you to "Eat a dick & all your tickets are belong to us" Stubhub seems like a viable alternative ticket source despite the obvious fact that whoever is selling there tickets probably payed ticketmaster/live nation a shit ton of fees.

It's resolved!!!! So I got a actual person on the phone the first time I called. I told them my story and I told them about the note I wrote and I also have a picture of what I sent. They told me the seller sent a picture of the "swag" voucher and not the wristband claiming that the voucher would not allow entry. Which it won't because IT's NOT THE ACTUAL TICKET. The representative was nice enough and I told her about Bonnaroo and how peace and love we are lol and that we wouldn't cheat another fan out of a ticket (Hence the lovely note). She was very understanding. But I had place the blame on STUBHUB that as a seller I'm not responsible for "tickets" not being probably labeled on the STUBHUB site. They should be labeled "RFID wristband" instead of "Ticket" so that buyers will not be confused.
I believe that the buyer was a first time goer and the truly didn't know. But I shouldn't be penalized for that. and in the end I got to get a refund and a repayment (considering I wouldn't get my ticket back in time). So am pleased but I will think again before I sell again with StubHub.

You're a nicer and more trusting person than me. I have my flaws but I promise I'm not a deliberately shitty person to other people. I'd have been furious and insisted the buyer was scamming because who doesn't know fests these days use wristbands? Esp. Bonnaroo!!! I'm glad thing's worked out, so are you going to be on the Farm this year? If so you should go to brunch and say hello from MB to the rest of the gang. I hate that I'm missing you folks but not too bothered by missing the lineup. FWIW

I tired not to think I was getting scammed but after I read about their buyer policy I definitely think so. The site says that if you get the wrong tickets or "fake" tickets. then they refund your money and find you a replacement for free. But I did call the Bonnaroo Street Team and told them to cancel the wristband just to make sure no one can use it. Although they said I could pick up a replacement at will call I'm still gonna sit this one out. I'll be dreaming of spicy pie and amish doughnuts all week.

I'll be dreaming of Roti Rolls (food truck) & specifically the Thurman Merman. Last year I ate my first one in the dead of night, to discombobulated to read a menu, I was sooo hungry & hadn't a clue what was in that weird sandwich I was cramming into my face but it was SO DELICIOUS in the black of the TN night! So does that mean you lost your street points on that ticket?
