As a staff member i had heard if lightning strikes within 20 miles then they'd take action. It was within like 7 miles from Roo. They were playing it safe just in case something worse could've happened. Times have changed from that epic mudbath of 2004.
Yeah I'm sure after someone died from a lightning strike at a New Orleans music fest while she was in her tent, Roo had to play it safe if any storm came near the festival.
