Restored my faith in humanity.
What a god blazingly amazing place!
Had one of the greatest nights of my life Thursday night. Met and hugged transient friends. Had more Spicy Pie than a human should ever eat. Did the huge umbrella thing Thursday night, chanting some guy's name in unison with 30 other Bonnaroovians for what felt like an eternity. Spent an hour Saturday night in the Silent Disco just spraying people down and handing out waters to keep the dead alive. Wailed out to childhood favorites with all the other 30 somethings at 3EB. Got a lot of great shoutouts and conversations from my Asheville t-shirt. Doubled down on my annual tradition of buying someone a beer on the far left side of What Stage by doing it twice. I also gave away some corn to a random guy, who proceeded to throw it on the ground thinking it was trash. we had a good laugh. About 20 of us laughing from the Staffman that shouted out "HAPPY HIGH FRIVE FIDAY!" Ran into a lot of great bagcheckers not doing their job in a wonderful way. Finding a phone in the middle of PJ and no one around it claiming it...tried unlocking it to no avail...5 mins later see 2 girls looking on the ground and I approach them phone in hand...found the owners! Hugs all around!! Watching some goofball try to balance a huge flower on his hand and cheering him on. A man sitting down and giving us a book/diary/art space, to fill up, pass along to others, with the hope that it would get mailed back to him afterward. Being given a boxed lunch walking back to camp at 5am Sunday morning by one of the staff! Watching people flock like drunken moths to "the lightbox" outside of Centerroo at night, magical peoplewatching!
So many great memories, and these aren't even the shows. Just the people. The people make Bonnaroo and I love it and them and everything about it.
