i was at Dead and Co at Indy/klipsch/ deer creek last night. We were maybe ten rows back from the stage, not the pit but awesome seats, the kind you spend a lotta money on and remember the show forever.
The two guys to the left of me were carrying on a conversation the entire first set. Yelling so loud it was very hard to enjoy the music. Thankfully they left with about 20 minutes left in the set, right before I had had enough and was about to say something to them. They didn't come back till the break.
The funniest part is that at the break the one guy was complaining that the band didn't play long enough! Hey, all you had to do was listen and not leave!
They actually switched rows so they didn't bug me in the second set.
But hey, don't be that guy, a few words are a few comments on the music is cool but an entire conversation during a live set.....no way.

Sucks you had this experience (and not to single you out) but you know what definitely doesn't work? Lamenting about it afterwards! What does work is to politely confront people who behave like this, and if they don't listen/care, resort to more drastic measures.
People like that need to STFU/be put in their place/evicted, so the sooner all of us musiclovers act assertively and try to remedy the problem, the better!
