I also play left-handed and have been a huge Mickelson fan since I started playing back when he first came onto the tour. Great duel, but sad Mickelson couldn't get it done.

I am lefty too and thusly a Lefty fan as well, my friend!
Yeah, that Lefty-Stenson duel was probably the best round I've ever watched, and I have watched a lot more than most. Amazing.
Yes, I play. I've played for probably 25 yrs now. Played Pebble when I was a kid when it wasn't an obnoxious amount of money to play, before Eastwood's group bought it.
Finally attended my first pro tournament a few years back, in Akron. I said "why not see the best in the world at that very moment" (?) If I remember correctly, it was a Father's Day deal for two people, so I took my GF's dad to Firestone.
Got down on my hands and knees when I crossed one of the fairways. Some of the most gorgeous lush I've ever seen. Plus, we followed Miguel Angel (Pimp.) for a little while, and I was under a tree for a Bubba drive that almost said hello. Stood by JB and Rickie for a few shots from the rough. Good Times
Played yesterday by myself for the first time in a while. 47-40 w 6 birdie putts consecutive, briefly. Didn't hit one of them. Didn't matter. I've loved that game for as long as I can remember.

i've been to a couple PGA championships up here at Hazeltine, coolest thing I got to do was be on the front rope for Tiger hitting a drive. It's so damn impressive how hard they hit that ball and the flight is just something else. very cool stuff. hoping to get to go to the ryder cup somehow this fall

Played my league 9 holes last night. First hole (#10) is a 190 yd par 3, I was on the front right fringe on my tee shot with a back right pin, and then I made a 60 foot putt for birdie. I told my one buddy that I hoped that wasn't a curse for the rest of the round...it was. Had no idea where my driver was going, and it's the best club in my bag (I don't hit it long, but I am pretty consistently dead straight - not yesterday). I shot a 46 and I think I had two doubles and two triples, and only that birdie on 10 and par on 18. Frustrating 9 holes.
Played 9 holes today with my dad, it was probably the worst round I played this summer.
Something is wrong with my grip. I am prone to getting a blister on my right thumb after playing, in which I played Thursday (decent round) and had a small blister afterwards...had a bigger blister after today. Doesn't help I was playing on a rough surface.
I know I am holding the club too tight, but I think it's more than that. Going to try a few "correct" grips out on Monday or Tuesday (Vardon, Interlock, Baseball) and see what feels right.

as of yesterday i wasn't going to the ryder cup, as of today i'm going saturday and sunday. my brother in law has been working setup over the week at the cup and scored 4 tickets for sunday yesterday so he's giving them to my family of 4 as he doesn't really care for golf. well i posted about it on facebook and all that and a friend through a cousin comments that she was just going to contact me as she has 2 tickets that she can't use. so i'm going saturday morning, playing golf saturday afternoon, and back to the ryder cup on sunday. can't fuckin wait

Golf league started last night, I'm the new president. I played poorly on the first 4 holes of the year (double-double-double-triple) but then went bogey-par-par-par-bogey to finish. 46 the first time out. My shoulder could be a real problem this year, though.

Uh, my "shoulder" is my problem too, not my short game. Or my iron play. Or my driving. 46 ain't bad at all the first time out, at least in my book.
It seems like I play less and less as I get older, which is backwards. Two years ago I couldn't even grip a club due to tendonitis and arthritis (at 38!). Fortunately I've been able to change some things over the last few years and my hands have been feeling pretty good lately. It's freakin snowing here right now but its supposed to be 70 degrees and beautiful Sunday and Monday, so I'm super excited to hit the range for the first time in a long time.
The Masters always gets me pumped for Spring, even if I can't play. Hopefully I can, even though four (yes, 4) of the courses within 20 minutes of my house closed for good last year, which is really sad. The others in the area are probably going to mobbed now, which is extra sucky for us weirdos who like to walk.
Played 9 holes today, I tried to convince my group to play 18 but didn't have any luck (the heat was doing me no favors). Finished the round with a par - boogie - par to grab the W for the day. The two that I was with are nothing to brag about when it comes to golf...always nice to win one though.
Putting kills my game. My dad and I often go up to this course that most golfers would not consider a golf course. No dress code whatsoever, no clubhouse, and all of the greens are more or less indoor carpet. The positives are you usually have the course to yourself and it's great for practice. You can play 5 balls a hole and never get called out for it. You pretty much though go the whole day without getting the putter out...as the only strategy on the green is to barely tap your ball and hope for the best.

Was this at Iron Tree?
No - known as Mountain Top, in Southwest Virginia.

I saw Asheville and thought for sure you were talking about this course a few minutes from my house here in Waynesville. They typically don't have anyone working and you call a number to find out where to leave money and grab a key. Not much of a golf course but more of a glorified cow pasture to be honest. Perfect if you feel like hitting 5 off of each tee though lol.

Played in a scramble yesterday w some really good teams. Our team was not expecting much. One gent was a 9 handicap. I don't have one. Never bothered. I believe -14 was the winning score. Did not attend the after-party cookout. Have no interest in hanging with people that take that shit that seriously, then talk shit like high school never ended for them. Private club gathering b.s. There was a 'calcutta' for the tournament. Our team tied with 3 others for lowest amount ($200, I think). 25 teams total, w 4 teams having 5 players. Our team - 2 gents in their late 60's who had to play from the 'whites', which neither had done in a decade. 1 woman in her early 60's who hadn't played in 5 yrs (a few of her drives were key). 8th time I've played this yr. -14 would have been lower had they not made everyone under 50 play the 'blues'. I haven't played from the 'blues' in at least a decade.
We came in 6th. I made all of our birdie puts, and the 1 eagle we actually had. Nailed some irons from 200 out (including one from 210 that finished 3 in. off)
We were relaxed all day. Great weather. Already talking of next year.
Passed on the steak dinner, as I was an hour from my place, and hadn't slept but 3 hrs the night before. My GF's dad texted me on repeat for a few hrs. He was like a little kid with his happiness. Told him it was his b-day present, and that my Christmas present should be of a familiar feeling. Then he mentions the PGA next yr in St. Louis........ F-ING SWEET
