NIN was a No. 4 in 2013 when they had a new album coming out. There's no way in hell they're a No. 1 in 2017 with only a 4 song EP out. I love NIN, don't get me wrong (and that set in 2013 was one of my favorites), but I doubt they're playing Lolla this year.
EDIT: It'd be cool if they played Riot Fest though.

The Weeknd | Arcade Fire | Muse | Chance The Rapper Lorde | Blink 182 | The XX | Alt-J
There ya go. Doesn't have the huge #1 but that's still a big top 4 compared to other fests this year. Maybe that helps the undercard though because they've been real hit or miss the last couple years. Compare that with Roo...
U2 (way bigger #1) | The Weeknd | RHCP | Chance The Rapper Major Lazer | Flume | Lorde | The XX
We obviously saw what U2 did to that undercard (combined with just some awful choices in general) but I think with the acts that are active and should be near the US around Lolla, that top 8 would be just fine.
Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles are playing that Desert Trip like festival. Jay Z just showed up on some lineup not too far from the Lolla dates. GNR date at the Bonnaroo site still hasn't been announced for some reason. Kanye could decide to play. Gorillaz because why the hell not.

Fleetwood Mac and Eagles won't be at any other fests, Ye isn't doing fests. Where did Jay pop up? I doubt it but Gorillaz is a possibility.

Well Firefly got three of those top four, but I don't see too many people praising their lineup...

well for one lolla will also have the 4 underneath it. And the undercard will be waasaay better than FF. Also Arcade Fire (presumably after a new album) makes that look much more pretty.
Random question - when was the last time a "Big Number One" didn't leak before the poster drop at any Big 4 fest?
U2 and Beyonce leaked this year. GnR and Pearl Jam last year. AC/DC (Coach) and Macca (Lolla) in '15. Outkast at Coachella in '14 etc etc.
When was the last time there was a true surprise headliner that was a #1?
I don't think The Weeknd should surprise anyone. He is playing Osheaga. He's actually everywhere. And if he's not there I'd say 1 & 2 will be AF and Muse.
Kanye isn't doing fests this year. And I'm pretty sure GnR will be at the bonnaroo site that weekend.
If GNR were playing the Roo site I think it would have been announced by now. As for Kanye CoS he was booked for summer festivals when the second leg his tour was canceled.

I'm pretty sure he cancelled those. Which is probably why The Weeknd and Chance are at every single festival.
