But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you BOTH have to fuck it up. > A hip hop discussion happens, I think > Chance talk, again
Post of the Day: There really wasn't a mock worthy of MOTD, so I'm just going to tear into this whole bet bullshit.
Zero chance this is U2's only NA show. I'd even go further and say zero chance that it's their only NA festival.
Take a look at their Interference boards (U2 fan community) and people in the know are saying 2018 for the North American leg of the tour and the international portion will launch in July/Aug. It makes sense for them to play a high profile show before heading off internationally if they plan on putting the album out in the spring.
Right. Hence my questioning the idea that one of the most globally popular bands on the planet would want to do a one-off North American show at the fourth-most popular U.S. festival. It would be an exceedingly odd choice for them to play only Bonnaroo, then leave the continent for 12 months.
To help boost the profile of LiveNation's second biggest event in the country? (it is considered bigger than ACL to them; just based on the fact that they actually own the location and therefore make more of a profit)
Oh I'm sorry, did the City sell Grant Park? I wasn't told of this.
Haha sure, what's the bet? That U2 don't perform any other festivals in the coming year? $20 sound good?
If Bonnaroo is U2's only NA show for the year (which is what that turkey was proposing), then I'll delete my account and leave forever. If that doesn't turn out to be true, you need to do the same, plus you need to go back to that place in Philly where you threw a hissyfit about the water and let the bouncer punch you in the face.
The gauntlet has been thrown! Or so we think...let's return to an earlier comment.
Looks like this could possibly be U2's only North American show of 2017, rumors came out today about shows in Asia/Pacific area in late summer. Wouldn't be surprised if they start off their tour internationally before hitting the US, opposite of what they did last tour.
Zero chance this is U2's only NA show. I'd even go further and say zero chance that it's their only NA festival.
Are we still doing phrasing? Syntax? Did you learn anything in 10th grade English? This makes no logical sense as a bet or a guarantee and the copy editor in me weeps. In this case you go for the more likely of two possible outcomes.
I wouldn't make that bet for only NA show of the year. Festival is another story.
No dice. The original quote, which I was mocking, was the idea that U2 would use Bonnaroo as a one-off hype show for the international tour before playing the U.S. in 2018. My contention is that this is a patently ridiculous idea.
AND YOUR WINNER, BY TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT, LAUNCHPAD MCQUACK!
He said zero chance they don't do any other festival. Guess he didn't really mean that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Probably not in my best interest to make a bet about festivals with you, seeing as how your pals at Founders have certainly already let you know whether or not U2 is slated to perform at any more of their corporate overlords' gatherings.
Final Verdict: Launchy is technically right.
Juggs is a bitch for not only fucking a really, really simple bet but also throwing a "hissyfit" when he realizes his mistake.

They make more with Lolla because of the amount of advertisers and sponsors.

I had the seizure a couple weeks ago, and ever since then I've had a constant headache that nothing can actually get rid of. Soda, Advil, nothing. It's also made me really, really fucking depressed. Like, my mind has been occupied with life, death, and emptiness ever since then.
This shit can kill me, and I really don't want it to even these are getting progressively worse and more frequent.
To add insult to injury, a family friend had his liver fail on him the same day I had my seizure and they're not sure he'll make it out. He's been in a San Diego hospital since then.
And of course, my parents didn't fucking tell me until I went to Chicago for break.

If you ever want to talk you can always PM me. I suffer from depression and anxiety and chronic migraines, so I can empathize to a center degree. There are also a few people on here who have epilepsy and suffer from seizures as well who can def lend you an understanding ear. Sounds like you're dealing with a lot and I know it can all get to you, but there is no reason that you have to deal with it all alone, and talking things out always helps me. So please talk it out with someone, if not in person, just message me!
I'm really sorry to hear about your family friend as well. That is rough, and your parents shouldn't have held that from you. I hope he is ok and things start looking better for him. And regardless, I hope you get a chance to see him or talk to him at least, just to let him know you're thinking about him and pulling for him. <3
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I have had 2 seizures in the past two months. One absence, and one tonic-clonic. This is more than I'd had in the past 17 yrs combined.</p>— Chris Olszewski (@chrisgolszewski) December 6, 2016
"RIP Chris Rooney. You will be missed by all who knew you. I was honored to call you friend. Thanks for all the good advice and just calling to check on me sometimes. You don't know how much that meant to me"
Chris (the family friend, not me) died this afternoon. My mother flew out to SD to go see him one last time.
It fucking sucks that I can't go to the funeral.
But I guess I'll have to do that Eeyore impression now. Or maybe not.
