Solange doesn't fit any of those demographics? I'm guessing lake shore, because anyone who has started to blow up or had a critical year has closed lake shore. Grimes, M83 in 2012, Lykke Li, Beach house, Gary Clark Jr.
Her album debuted at #1. She is bigger than any of the acts that you listed when they closed the lakeshore.
She sold just over 70k the first week and then fizzled. It was a light week for releases with Bon Iver, The Pixies and Danny Brown being soem of the bigger names releasing records.
And a critically acclaimed record does not mean it's a good record.

Solange just doesn't seem like a Lolla booking to me. If they could still get away with throwing her on the Grove stage I could see it, but not preHL of Blink 182 or w/e

I mean FKA twigs has played Lolla, so has Grimes, so has Flying Lotus: all P4K darlings eventually make it to Lolla.

Also since I'm the only one who feels pretty confident that A Tribe Called Quest isn't playing this fest. If ATCQ plays Pitchfork, I won't post the rest of the year. I really think they'll play riot, based on Riot's current track record for booking great hip-hop/rap acts.
Bonus: If I'm right, the other bet of The XX not being in the top 8 at Lolla is voided.

Certainly, but I think this makes some popularly speculated artists like Solange a lot less likely for this.

Well looks like I won't get to comment for the rest of the year. My buddy is good friend's with someone who works for Pitchfork, and just texted me saying headliners for P4K are: LCD Soundsystem-PJ Harvey-A Tribe Called Quest.
