My friend hasn't heard anything new in the past few months. The word was the original owner, Pipeline?, was going to repurchase the brand, and it would be more heavily EDM based than jam/rock based. I could see them having trouble going back to Mulberry mountain after all the trouble they caused.
Unless they book Lotus, Disclosure or Umph, I doubt I'd make much of an effort this year. Really doubt Tribe does a 3rd year in a row. I'd be surprised not to see Big G on this.
That makes it easy to say no to the first wave. Pretty Lights Live Band and Papadosio are the only real draws, and I saw PapaD last month and PL Live next month. Bob Moses is cool (saw them again 2 weeks ago) Floozies are always good but I saw them last month. Poolside is okay and Psymbionic. But it's not enough.
Poolside is still there. I've only seen a DJ set once at Waka. Definitely was decent. Funk Hunters are on there, and they'll be pretty great if it's the full ensemble of both DJ's and their live performers (trumpet/rapper guy and bass player). I missed Medasin last year, but he's decent. And I don't know who Zincfence Redemption is who is playing with Chronixx (edit it's his reggae band).

It is. But Disco Biscuits make it almost great. Them, Pretty Lights Live, Psymbionic, PapaD, Floozies, badbadnotgood and Wiz are all interesting. I'm not completely ruling this out, but it's not likely. Spag Heddy is a pretty funny name, but Spag Hetti would have ruled more.
Prolly just try and hit up Disco Biscuits day pass unless that third annoucement contains Lotus. I'd assume DB is play a different night than PL. Lotus would round out their live acts nicely.
