I want to go to Wanee so bad, but I skipped early birds. A little too expensive without a lineup which may or may not be 7 sets of WSMFP. With Tipper maybe taking an off year at Suwannee, I need a spring fest.

No tipper this year, but rumor is, and that is not from a creditable source, is that there is a fest in the works to resplace tipper. It is a rumor, but there seems to be festival void there that could be filled with an awesome new fest. We shall find out today the wanee lineup.
Love Phil. Pigeons and George Porter are always must sees for me but this seems kinda.....weak? Nothing unusual or original.
This lineup is def a step up from last year. No late night wasted on boring DJ either.
More potential for sit-ins given who all is playing as well. A good example is Midnight North at the bottom of the lineup. They'll prob be at like noonish one day and Phil will come out and only like 150 people will see it.
Marcus King will likely get a late night spot this year as well, which will be a major heater. I think this lineup is a step up from last year overall. Without that Pink Talking Fu epic late night this year would have been fairly forgettable.
Would count on Duane Betts and Devon Allman's band getting added as well.

GPJ coming back to Wanee is way overdue!
Yeah, I it probably is better than last year and I like everyone on it. Just seems kinda bland. Sure, Midnight North will have Phil sit in, but that's been done multiple times at multiple fests. Pink Talking Fish Tied to the Whipping Post is the same thing as Pink Talking Fish Eats a Peach set at Peach Fest last year. Marcus King has played every jam fest and sat in with everyone. Even Phil has been playing shows outside of NYC/Bay Area lately. I guess that As the Crow Flys could be something unique.
Yea I get you on that. Most Wanee people don't go to any other fest esp ones up North. I was hoping for Dead Co, Ween, Primus etc to mix things up but Wanee is usually the same stuff. I'm just stoked we didn't get stuck with The Tedeschi Trucks Adult Contemporary Band.
Also, duh @ Crow flies having Chris Robinson. I didn't even notice he was on the lineup. Didn't him and Phil have a set at Lockn a couple of years ago? Would prob be something like that.
Saying over in iTwddle land that Twiddle will be added as "something bigger than just Twiddle". I'd imagine some sort of Phil/Twiddle/Midnight North set since they have been doing that.
Jambase confirmed Chris Robinson is leading 'As the Crow Flies'...brother Rich called him out for being a hypocrite since he banged on Magpie Salute as a tribute band.
