AF and AM with Noel could get me to overlook ID and Chainsmokers. Esp cus there would be options opposing those 2. Paak in the boom boom oppo ID would be fire.
cmack gave last nights Arcade Fire show 5* and 10/10. Makes me sadder to have missed them this week. Most Tuesdays suck for me for anything early.

ne215 both agree that AF show rivaled Gorillaz fire show in Philly. Production was top notch, not only with amount of lights and video but the amount of creativity and effort into each song. It is a shame that their tour isn't selling well in some areas and apparently on a recent interview, it seems Win is feeling the weight of that realization. They can headline any fest and Id be excited for it.
Pigeons new album out 10/20. Second single released today. Not even top 10 Pigeons songs and nothing compares to their live show but I can't stop listening to this studio version. For some reason I get a Jamiroquai feel from this. Which if Hangout can pull Jamiroquai in their Sigur Ros "how the hell are they at Hangout" spot, my life would be made.

Pearl Jam/ Gorillaz/ Arctic Monkeys/ Childish Gambino/ Bassnectar/ The xx/ The Lumineers/ Snoop Dogg/ Alt-j/ Asap Rocky/ Galantis/ Tyler the Creator/ Of Monsters and Men/ Big Sean/ Danny Brown/ Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats/ Milky Chance/ Rebelution/ Manchester Orchestra/ Zomboy
Probably just a tad top heavy...but hey cheers to wishful dreaming lol honestly kind of feel like everyone once in awhile we get some cross from music midtown and could see potential for Bruno Mars. I would have fun with that on the beach.

Would be better than I expect
Yeah agree I'm really hoping for a good surprise this year but could be setting myself up. I mean I always go and have fun and still enjoy the lineups for what they are but past 2 years when released I've been like a kid on Christmas waking up to coal in my stockings

If I lived anywhere near Cali I'd be at that CalJam Fest 100%. Lineup is right up my alley. Was in the process of making plans for it but no1 else wanted to make the trip from Chicago.

What good stuff is there to check out in Chicago. I'll be coming out that way in November for a work Christmas party and I couldn't pass up the free trip also doesn't hurt Galantis plays Chicago that same weekend. They booked us a room at the Chicago Athletic hotel, looks classy af.

The whole city is great, especially where you are. You're right across the street from Millennium Park and the Art Institute. You're on North Michigan so south of the river and about 3 blocks from the Lake. Navy Pier is just to your north, and the Adler Planetarium (which is bad ass) and Shedd Aquarium are right there too as well as Grant Park. Best thing about Michigan is just wandering. Don't even get a rental car, because you won't need it downtown. Everything is super easy via train/bus/cab. It's impossible to have a bad time in downtown Chicago unless you suck.
Yeah ur def in a good location, Krisp. Esteban hit on most of the common stuff people see, if it's ur first time I'd agree with him. There's badass food pretty much everywhere and bars on every block for the most part too.

Got to both of the new tracks today and love them. Gonna be on repeat for a while. Likely seeing them again in mid November!
moten33 what's the best Pigeons song? I want my first listen to be a good one.
Top few for me are Fun in Funk (first single off the upcoming CD but the live version is so much better), F.U., Ocean Flows, Horizon, Doc, Julia, Melting Lights. A lot of choice covers once you get into the live stuff. Their Psycho Killer is always great.
That "Somethin For Ya'" I posted though is pretty great. I mst have listened to it twenty times in the past two days.

Nice! I had a good run of 5 or so shows. We're trying to find another to travel to this tour between Saratoga, Cleveland, Baltimore and Philly.

Horrible shooting in Las Vegas at a music festival. My sympathies to friends and families of victims. I wonder how this may change festival security. Early word is the gunman had up to 10 chain or drum fed automatic weapons. Fifty dead and 400 wounded at this point.
saw Wild Cub and STS9 on Saturday. I had won tix on Loudie for Wild Cub and of course the next day STS9 comes up on there and i couldnt get them since I already had a pair for that night. But they were at the same venue since the Fillmore has a smaller upstairs stage I manager to get into Tribe fo free. Hung at Wild Cub til they played Thunder Clatter (underwhelming live but great song) and they were ok so then i had a friend at Tribe text me a screenshot of his ticket. I go downstairs and show the lady and tell her I was here earlier already how do I get back in? She has the security guy let me through the rail but he lets me in the wrong side so i had to walk through the main venue security and ticket people. Tell them the same shit and they were so confused i had to hold back laughing, after a min of trying to explain i had tix to both the dude just said 'whatever, go in'. To top if off it was 5 off 11 and Tribe was just taking the stage! They slayed for about 2.5 hours with a much improved light show.

really horrible and confusing how he got machine guns into the hotel and how him opening the window didnt set off any alarms. This was a date my friend considered for his Bach party so i can only count my blessings.

It is hard to defend every possible scenario. They are saying he was a recent convert to Islam and ISIS is taking credit for the shooting/massacre. With all the condos and high rises in the area of Hangout that will become an issue. It would be nearly impossible to check everyone going in and out of high rise hotels and condos for weapons. Early information is saying the shooter modified these non-auto weapons to full auto and added chain or drum magazines. I would say concerts and festivals scheduled in Vegas will come under a lot of heightened security. If ISIS is actually behind this, all large crowd events become targets until police figure out how to secure them. So sad. So many people killed or injured. You have to be really warped to do something like this. My prayers to the survivors as well as friends and family members of those who perished.
edit. He or they shot them out. They are saying he may have had a girlfriend accomplice as there were two windows shot out.

windows in vegas dont open or at least arent supposed. thats where im a bit confused on how no alarm went off or something or how they got them to open so quietly. as for ISIS i dont think it was them, they seem to take credit every time to just bcuz they can. fuck ISIS though.

The windows of the hotel were shot out. Apparently the only way the hotel was notified was when the rooms smoke alarm went off due to all the gun smoke. Fucking tragic and my heart and prayers go out to everyone out there in Vegas or effected by this.
The windows were shot out. There are no alarms on those windows. He was by himself. It is not illegal to have weapons in your hotel room in Nevada. ISIS will take the blame for anything, whether they did it or not.
