I would think he's a main stage sub or a Surf closer which makes me sick to my stomach. He's not top 3 though. That being said I can't think of a better fit for 2018 Hangout than him. Right up their fuckin alley.
has there been anyone in recent memory with only one album cracking the top 2 lines? I know Haim and Leon Bridges got high spots after debuting but i cant see how this dude is all of the sudden playing 4-6 range even if his popularity is growing. fuck, i hate millennials.
edit: looking now and see that he is 11th at voodoo so fuck me he might be in that 4-6 range by next year. though hes not billed above anyone whod be top 15 at hangout with the exception of Prophets of Rage
The 2017 lineup was released 29 November 2016. I saw/wanted to see the Bold shows and enjoyed them.
1 - Mumford and Sons, Twenty One Pilots, Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper.....Phoenix replaced Frank, 21P got rained out. 2 - Major Lazer, Weezer, DJ Snake, MGMT 3 - Sigur Ros, Marshmellow, Dilon Francis, Band of Horses Sigur Ros got rained out 4 - Franz Ferdinand, Charlie XCX, Lukas Graham, Mac Demarco 5 - Local Natives, Rufus Du Sol, Lil Yachty, Warpaint 6 - Cash Cash, Strumbellas, Louis the Child, Mightmre 7 - Snakehips, Shaggy, Griffin, Matoma, Cheat Codes 8 - Kungs, Magic, Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness 9 - Mutemath, Bishop Briggs, Bob Moses, Lany, Pvris 10 - Lewis Del Mar, Russ, Joseph, The Hunna 11 - Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Nora En Pure, Shaun Frank, LP 12 - Towkio, Barns Courtney, Coin, Francis, The Suffers 13 - 888, Kapslap, Cobi, Le Youth, Pardison Fontaine Pardison rained out but got to meet him. 14 - Tkaimadza, Foreign Air, Bash, Mondo Cozmo, White Reaper
Adds I saw and enjoyed - Jimmy Lumpkin and the Revival, The Worn Flints, and the Strand of Oaks
18 performances over 3 days for $200 given the friends, beach, seafood, Inforoo Pre-party is a good deal IMO. If 2018 lineup close to this one, I'll repeat.

i know, HOF will be fucked without me but IMA BE A PAPA LETTUCE!
I hear that Krisp. Gonna be a papa Zaj next year myself. The wife is cool with one travel fest though so it's probably Roo or Hangout. Or nothing if they're absolutely abysmal. We're pretty much dead set on Coachella in 2019, though.
Congratulations to you as well! So many babyroosters!
Definitely wish the Lettuce's and Zaj's congratulations on growing their families. I love my son heart and soul. As a friend told me once, they don't come with operations or maintenance manuals but, God offers a 24 hour call center. Just pray and enjoy. Had to share, probably for the 3rd or 4th time this video. Means a lot being a Dad/parent. krisplettuce and Zaitch

I am trying to get tickets for Imagine Dragons in Buffalo (I'm such a good significant other....) but these prices are not dropping. It's crazy. Every show for the past few yeras anywhere you can get tickets cheap as the show gets close. Two days away and tickets are still selling above retail on the secondary markets.
i dont get it. they headlined Made in America LA version and it sold so bad they added Kanye and Mayer right before and they were #1 at Wayhom who is on hiatus now. long as they dont get a top 3 spot i wont be mad, prob even check it out depending but man thats such a lame duck HL.
Looked for them on Pollstar website and theyre not in the top 20. For perspectives sake: U2's current tour total revenue is about $159 million.....DAFUQ. Attendance Avg ticket price Cities (67,380 x $113.47 x 21)
Possible rap headliner from left field: Eminem? Rumoured album and lately been doing more public appearences. (Will be on SNL w Chance the rapper in November). Also, Gorillaz, Foo and 30 Seconds to Mars were just booked at a German fest beginning in June. That gap is enough for Hangout with Gorillaz or 30 to Mar.
Eminem - Lana Del Rey - Gorillaz - Lorde Future - The XX - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Odesza - Solange - Chvrches - Post Malone - Kurt Vile/Courtney Barnett Royal Blood - Ryan Adams - DJ Shadow - Purity Ring - Anderson.Paak - Nathaniel Rateliff - Glass Animals Passion Pit - Zhu - First Aid Kit - Live - Jauz - Echosmith - Angel Olsen - Thundercat - Wyclef Jean Lil Uzi Vert - Flint Eastwood - Brain - Deer Tick - Margo Price - !!! - Hamilton Leithauser
The timing is looking better with every Gorillaz euro date, feeling like we have a good chance. I dont know if i wanna see Em or not, i cant stand any of his music post The Marshall Mathers show or whatever that 3rd album was called
I feel the same about Em. I hear a lot of back and forth about his ACL show being either awesome or lackluster. If he is the "worst of the 3" I wouldn't be too upset.
Kygo looks verrry likely with those tour dates. Surprised we haven’t had him yet. His vibe is perfect for the beach and Hangout’s demo. Not a big fan but I would understand booking. He’d probably be #4 a la Skrillex in ‘15.
Also All Points East overseas is the weekend after Hangout and has Lorde, LCD, YYY’s, The XX, Father John, Beck, Glass Animals, and Sampha. It means they’ll be touring around Hangout but with it being overseas idk if Hangout could possibly be a final US show before heading over there, or if it completely knocks em out. If any vets w scoops cud chime in that’d be pretty sweet.

I think a lot of acts over the years have used Hangout as a final fest before heading overseas. Frank Ocean was booked the following weekend I think to a Primvera Sound. Foals had their final US show at Hangout before going to Rock Im Park in germany. I'd say all those acts are likely contenders barring any mid week bookings or if they are booked in Europe the following weekend.

ne215, saw Prophets of Rage at 2017 Louder Than Life in Louisville. They closed the fest. Was front row & had to survive a completely-wilder-than-I-would-have-thought Rise Against set. The crowd surfers were like a conveyer belt all thru the set & coming right over me. Have seen Korn sets where there wasn't as much crowd surfing. Wonderful experience, though (Prophets of Rage)! The 2 lead singers work well together. Heard the Cypress Hill covers I've always wanted to hear :-) Zach De LaRocha can twist those strings too! I think they would go fine on the beach. Play before the headliner on Main Stage or close Surf/Chevy Stage. Their politics might make them 'unpalatable' for Baldwin County, tho...

Think you'd have liked White Reaper too, Bob. Might have been a bad conflict there. They are a Louisville band that we're all proud of. Hit my last fest over weekend. Snuggleween at Terrapin Hill Farm outside Harrodsburg, KY. Nice little camping fest. Very private with a party hearty atmosphere. They like to burn stuff there...
