solidrock...weren't we just talking Ron Gallo up? IDK...I counted 18 performers I enjoyed this year and I think I can get 18 out of this for next year.
I know it's a rhetorical question, but am I the only person who is actually super excited and happy with this lineup? I guess it's because I'm younger than most here, but this lineup is fuckin great to me. Anderson Paak, Halsey, Awolnation, SZA, The Struts, Kendrick, Galantis? I'm so excited.
im pretty pumped on it but wont be able to go unless i can pull a miracle. only b/c its got the best rap artsit you could ask for in Kendrick, you get Zedd and Galantis, PTM and Cold war Kids, Fosters new stuff is good live i enjoyed it at ACL few months ago.
emoney , I like Killers, Zedd, Portugal the Man, Galantis, Cold War Kids, so Friday good. I missed the Chainsmokers so that is a plus, Halsey ok, Grouplove, and I'll go see Kendrick, Foster the People, Slighly Stoopid, The Struts, Hippo Campus (really good at Roo this year), I rough counted 60 performers. Maybe some folk, blues, rock in the remaining 20.

...just a different 18...i've seen a lot of this and am not all that crazy about it...i don't have comparables for weezer, sigur ros, BoH, Franz(all of whom i had not seen) and the Killers are below mumford for me.
Friday - Ron Gallo > Nothing but Thieves > Pussy Riot > Tasha Sultana > Cold War Kids > P.Man > Killers
-Not an awful day but I have seen the Killers and there really isn't anything rar, exciting except Pussy Riot.
Saturday - Goldfish > Noname > Cashmere Cat > Tank & Bangas > Manchester Orchestra > St Vincent . A Paak > Leave
-Actually a great day up until 7pm. If St Vincnet close the surf and A Paak is in the tent its solid. The fact that Chainsmokers are headlining makes me not want to support the fest at all.
Sunday - Sunflower Bean > Welshley Arms > Hippo Campus > Poolside > Alice Merton > Greta Van Fleet > AWOL Nation > Odesza > Kendrick
-Pretty decent day overall but this just seems like a XMU/Altnation pile up and a few "rare for hangout" artists. The 2nd lines are boring as hell and typical. A couple fun undercards who will be everywhere.
overall the only artists Im excited for a St Vincent, Pussy Riot, Kendrick and Poolside. Two of which will be at D4N.
Verdict: 90% will skip unless I land a free ticket.

I'm out. I have 2 GA passes for sale at loyalty price. Can't even begin to express my disappointment in this lineup. Think I will go hang out with solidrock during the 420 fest this year.

Not the only one. About 1/4 of Facebook's posters seemed pretty happy with it too, because ZOMG The Chainsmokers are playing! None of my kids want anything to do with it except my daughter said she'd be down to see Kendrick Sunday. I told her if they brought in by-day passes and we can get two discounted, we can always go over to Pensacola that weekend and just drive down to Gulf Shores on Sunday afternoon. But it's a very generic lineup without much splash to it at all. If you didn't read the link to stereogum that Phyre Fest posted, you might want to see it. They're wondering if we're not going to have an entire summer of shitty music festivals based on the Hangout release. I don't know. There are a few cool acts each day. If I lived within walking distance, I'd probably go. But there's just so much at the top that I wouldn't ever want to see.
More power to you though nerd. If you like it, by all means be excited for it.

Us anyone else considering Shaky Knees in lieu of Hangout?
There’s enough for me to see and enjoy but there’s nothing that has excited or even surprised me on this years bad thing is saw so much at Voodoo this just let me down only because of that i think so i will be looking into possibly okeechobee, shaky knees , or finally getting Fest balls to try roo for the first time.
Friday: The Killers, Portugal. The Man, P Riot, Ron Gallo, The Green
Saturday - Anderson.Paak, St. Vincent, Manchester Orchestra, Noname, San Holo, Skip Marley
Sunday - Kendrick, Slightly Stoopid, The Struts
Not enough on the lineup for me to spend the money. Some good, some terrible. No interest: Zedd, Galantis, Chainsmokers, Halsey, Logic, Grouplove, Bleachers, Foster the People
You missed Greta Van Fleet on Sunday. But she doesn't make this shit-show worth it.
Saw them at Louder Than Life. The lead singer is 17 and one of the guitarists can't be anymore than 19. Did enjoy their set.

I checked them out recently because I saw Sarge raving. Not for me right now. Lot's of potential, but...I mean the lead singer sounds like and literally mimics Robert Plant...they're just kids so if they can find a little more originality...they already seem to be blowing up quick though so what do I know.
OK..after checking out a video of all 60 of these performers, I came up with 34 I want to see. Killers, The Struts, Zedd, Nothing But Thieves, Odesza, Manchester Orchestra, Cold War Kids, Slightly Stoopid, The Glorius Sons, Ron Gallo, Hippo Campus and Anderson East. Then there are the others If the fit in the schedule like Bahamas, Banners, Foster the People, Grouplove, Alice Merton, Mansionair, Mikky Ekko, Oh Wonder, Portugal the Man, Pussy Riot, R.Lum.R, Skip Marley, Son Little, Sunflower Bean, St Vincent, Tash Sutana, Tank and the Bangas, Sza, The Green, and Welshley Arms. I dont think Chainsmokers or Kendrick are going to be on my "must see" list. Ditto a lot of the EDM. But, 32 out of 60 is a pretty good list and actually better than going into 2017 Hangout. Mumford > Killers but, that is the hand that has been dealt.
If you folks can find an equivalent condo-beach, don't have to fly to get there, concert with at least 10-15 bands I like, I'll follow you.
The more I listen to some of these performers the more I like it. Got some NOLA soul, Reggae, rock, and some small band performances I liken to the Lumpkin show last year. I agree with krisplettuce on some of these being better than their counterparts last year. Nothing but Theives >> Franz Ferdinand. St Vincent, Slightly Stoopid, Portugal the Man, Ron Gallo, and Manchester Orchestra all solid. Zedd is probably one of the few EDM shows I can get into. I listen to Cold War Kids and Foster the People when I my niece and her college friends tubing and skiing. Good beach music.
Not counting this out yet. I was looking forward to breaking out my new Les Paul on y'all.
