The shuttle is worth it to me to never have to worry about drivin back forth all fucked up. And our house is only like a 10-15 min ride. The alcohol situation on the surface seems like it cud be a headache but I'll reserve judgment till I get in. There are a ton of those beer tent areas around the stages. I'm sure it won't be hard to slam a beer real quick, head to the stage and jus sip on water while actually at the show. Plus I'll probably sneak in booze everyday like every other fest. All that being said, it's a bucket list thing too. I need to see what all the hoopla is about before I can't do it. From the streams alone it looks incredible.
Today I'd normally be heading east towards Gulf Shores. I'm not FOMOing too much because the rest of the year has turned out well festival forcast wise. ne215 and I got Life Is Beautiful and Osheaga on the books for travel. Also got Float Fest, ACL, Waterloo and possibly Utopiafest, along with Day for night all set up for late 2019.
Let me know how float fest is! I have friends with a lake house in that area and we were talking about going next year. Last year’s lineup was awesome. Tickets are cheap.
Not yet. Even if there is, my channel will be more on Rock on the Range. But this is what I have so far:
1) If you have ROKU, go and download livexlive's app. On the app, I was able to get to the live events channel. They have 3 festivals this weekend - EDC L.V., Rock on the Range and Hangout. There is a specific channel for each of the events, but I don't know if those channels will have multiple streams or only one at a time. I've only ever watched concerts on LiveXLive
2) If you have iPhone (and assuming Android), there is a mobile app for LiveXLive you might want to download to watch
3) Will they stream directly from their website or YouTube channels? I don't know. Once I get that shit figured out, I'll post. And I'll be on the lookout for stream information if they release any. Otherwise, I'll just tune in from time to time to see what's up. This is their live events page directly from the website. You can scroll. But like I said, I don't know if they will host a stream there or not yet. www.livexlive.com/live-events
I find it hard to believe due to the amount money generated for the city and Shaul owning almost all of the businesses in the area around the site. I also think they are approved through 2019. The city and fest have done crazier things before so can't refute. I don't know but wouldn't think Shaul would be able to get the same ROI at another location.

Seems like Gulf Shores is reinvesting that money into new sidewalks and permament structures along the beach. Win/Win for both sides
This might be the last time in Gulf Shores so go enjoy yourselves
wait, wuuuuut???
I have a friend who works in the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department. They were told that GV wants to move the festival to Panama City Beach starting next year.

Hopefully a scare tactic to get a renegotiated contract with Gulf Shores
Get rid of Hangout and bring back the far superior Deluna festival.
lolPCB Party like it's 1999. That place has gotten pretty rapey the past few years according to the news articles I've read.
My ex lived in this apartment complex like a mile from La Vela that had this tiny pizza joint in the parking lot. Easily the best pizza I ever had. This old Greek man owned it I wanna say, places was covered in pics of Sinatra. He used goat cheese and had a brick oven. He's prob dead since this was like 15 years ago. =*(

I am on mobile, so I don't know how to link the pic. But you vets know what face I am making about PCB.

This used to be a week to look forward to. I'm missing for the first time in 5 years. Perhaps the festival not being a full sellout now 3 out of 4 years will be a wake up call to return the guitars. Kendrick and Killers aren't bad, but they copied Voodoo Fest's lineup a lot from just 7 months ago. I'm saving the $ for Voodoo's 20th Anniversary this year and went to Jazz Fest 3 days. Aerosmith, Jack White, Steve Miller Band, Jack Johnson. Now that was fun and all for $200.

Idk this year seems great personally.
Thursday: T-pain > the knocks > phantogram
Friday: Pussy riot > Tash Sultana > Cold War kids > Portugal the man > zedd > Galantis
Saturday: Goldfish > bleachers > awolnation > Anderson Paak > Bahamas > cashmere cat > st Vincent/chainsmokers
Sunday: Slightly stoopid > whethan> the struts > getter > big boy > group love > odesza > Kendrick.
So cool they booked Kendrick unopposed and also managed to book a edm act on the sand every day since those are always a great time outside the boom boom. Also dig that they slotted group love and st vinny inside the boom boom. Good stuff.
And and kill me now if you whethan brings out Yodel boy.
I seriously don’t like Whethan. That Coachella Set was pretty wrong. Haha
Here’s the direct link for the live stream for computers, mobile or tv browsers hangout.livexlive.com
Hopefully they have at least a few good sets I can watch. Only thing out is that Slightly Stoopid will be actual live at 2:30 CDT on Sunday. They are top 10 on this year’s lineup, so that’s at least something. There are pretty slim pickings on the Rock on the Range broadcast, and I’m already going see Big Boi on Saturday and will probably watch Disco Biscuits Fri/Sat from Asheville. But it would be nice to get a couple beach sets I would have gone to if I was there.
Thanks for the link Esteban. I'm home sick this weekend and this should help. I was streaming a new Frank Turner song called Make America Great Again yesterday and it made me think of you Hangout peeps. The song is not brilliantly crafted but the official video features random people from Sxsw flipping a large white board stating what they think makes America great. The song lyrics are lost a bit as you read the signs in the video if you're like me. No matter, somebody put up a quality YouTube Sxsw stream of the song too with an amusing lead-in. As Frank would say hope you get some Plain Sailing Weather for the rest of the weekend hangout fans.
hangout jus tweeted that live-x-live is still streaming the fest but I cant find a schedule
Yeah. They are. They just haven't put it out yet. I'd like to go ahead and ask them to hurry the **** up on it.
Here's a stupid fucking update from yesterday that just went out:
WHO:
Festival Performers Include:
•The Polesmokers •Foster the People •Cold War Kids •Anderson.Paak & The Free Nationals •And More
WHEN:
Friday, May 18 – Sunday, May 20, 2018 Performances will begin daily at 4:43 p.m. CT ( <-- not sure why if Slightly Stoopid is at 2:30 unless they're going to delay that) Rebroadcast and highlights will be streamed immediately following the last live act.

Anyone have an idea how to get the LivexLive app on Apple TV?
