Ya no rare bookings by any means but there's plenty there I'd like. I figure with a big top 2 like KL and AF (at least for Hangout's size) Lorde would be a smaller #3 but budget wise I feel like it'd make sense.
Different size venues of course, but U2/Beck tickets have tanked in Buffalo. GA Floor tickets at the Bills stadium are $25.99 on StubHub, yet Imagine Dragons are $52 for nosebleed seats at the arena. A quick look at other dates on Stubhub and most ID tickets are selling above retail for all dates. Don't count them out......

i get it. for saturday when its starts raining &
i honestly wouldnt take issue with ID. gives breathing room for a boom boom night set.
Who is suppose to be up and coming over the next 6 months. Chance was a give in. Frank felt unlikely for Hangout but wasn't a surprise as an overall headliner. Muf was established. 21P def wad an up and coming.
Arcade Fire for Mumford ID for 21P Future/Kendrick for Frank Lorde/Solange for Chance
Looks like the free Concert on the Green scheduled tonight and tomorrow night in Nashville are going to be affected by Harvey. Tonight Iron and Wine, Dispatch, and John Butler Trio. Tomorrow Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, and Sheryl Crow. Hope the weather doesn't spoil the shows. Some awesome performers.
Tornado warnings, lightning, and flooding in Nashville. Not happening tonight. They are expecting this til morning. Maybe they moved into a club. Now that would be the bomb.
Saw Pigeons again last night. Great show as always. Hung with the band for a bit after and got a couple signed posters. If they somehow could end up on this lineup I would go for that alone. We got a hotel and I woke up and drove the hour and a half back to work at 6am. One of the fest bands I would do that for.
mannn Pigeons in the tent oppo whoever the weak HL is would be perfect.
They would. Under old Huka Hangout, they'd probably be a Thursday act. Nowadays, if they even booked them, it would be at 2 or 3 in the afternoon on Saturday. They're getting bigger, but it's mostly in the funk and jam scenes. Hangout caters to neither at this point though you could see them throwing 1 act like Lettuce or whatever on the lineup. But I don't see Hangout putting either Lettuce or PPPP in the tent opposite a headliner. If they don't have a headliner DJ they seem to take from the upper-mid card (recent past examples of Foals, STS9, Sigur Ros). Pigeon's wouldn't be high on a Hangout lineup in my opinion. I think they'd be 7th row at the highest.

Oh yeah,I don't think they'd even be 7th row at this point on a large fest poster. They barely make that at jamcentric fests (but growing rapidly and selling out bigger venues). The tent closer opposite a weak headliner would be perfect but yeah they would likely be an early day show. I'd still go. One of the few bands I travel for nowadays.

I am trying to help the folks in Texas and along the Gulf Coast. I am sure there are some Hangout fans in that region (staying on subject). If you or anyone else is looking for ideas or assistance making a donation, I have worked with these folks a long time and thru many disasters. They are legit, big hearts, and very little overhead. My friend told me that if it were not for the Christian Church groups, he and his family would not have survived Katrina. I plan to put some of the kits together with our youth groups and ship them to the location identified.
OK...thanks...back to Hangout Music Festival. Oh...I dare not venture out of this thread. If you are willing to share this information with others...someone might make it through this with a little less pain and suffering.

Free show tonight live on WNY Media which was the secret show planned for Buffalo. I'm assuming you'll be there if you are able. It's 9:30 Central Time.

I'm home with the little guy tonight but I will be watching for sure. I've had a good Pigeons run but bummed I will not be there with my other buddies.
