Just got tickets for Louisville. I got a presale code but they didn't have any floor seats as an option so was going to wait until public on sale Friday and try my luck then. However I noticed there is an option where you can join the fan club through ticketmaster and get tickets early. This costs $50 but it is a one time charge not per ticket so for 2 floor tickets + membership + fees it came out to $230. Yes I basically paid $115 for a $70 ticket but I was surprised the floor seats were as cheap as they were in the first place so I don't feel totally scammed.

Could you PM me the pre-sale code if you still have it? I'm fine with cheap seats and would love to avoid the general sale in case of quick sellout.
Strange observation: it seems general admission floor seats can still be had but ONLY IF you choose a single ticket. Now either there has only been one remaining ticket available for past 3 days or it's ticketmaster being greedy because they can charge an order fee for every ticket sold instead of just once per order. Anyone else seen something like this for other shows before?
Rumors are starting to leak on the U2 forums that Joshua Tree will not be performed in running order. Apparently some of their leaks have been right in the past, in reards to previous tours, but they're saying the band is going to be doing "themed segments of the show all being tied to certain JT song(s). For example, they're saying that Bullet The Blue Sky is going to be paired up with Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Year's Day in its own segment.
This could make for a really engaging way to present the album, instead of doing it in running order, start to finish.

This makes sense because I've never thought that it would make sense structurally to play songs like Streets, WOWY, SHFWILF, Bullet, RHMT early or mid-show and then close with Exit and Mothers of the Disappeared. I like the latter songs more and more, and I'm sure hardcore U2 fans wouldn't mind too much, but they generally close with songs like Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and almost none of those first three get played until just before the end of the main set. That's also aside from the fact that just playing an album all the way through is a bit predictable and maybe boring. The idea of having segments built around TJT songs is a really cool device.
How legitimate can we consider these rumors? Do people have inside info on that board, or are they just speculating as to what makes sense?

They seem fairly legit, I don't post over there, just been lurking. They knew the openers for the tour before they were announced so they have some connection.
I recently read an article where the did an interview and alluded to this kind of concept for the shows when talking about some of their rarer songs being played and how people love certain ones. I'll see if I can find it again and post it here.

Hopeful setlist for myself... Would probably be the best headlining set of any band I've seen in a festival setting and isn't very likely, but it was still fun to put together...

U2 is going to be releasing a new version of "Red Hill Mining Town" in the next few weeks. Bono re-recorded the vocal and they also re-recorded the brass band parts that were cut out of the original mix.
Rehearsals for the tour are underway. If Roo ends up getting the full production, according to the U2 forum the rumors are that the show will open with a set of pre-JT songs, followed by JT in running order, and will commence with some type of "chopping down" of the Joshue Tree and the final act of the show and the encore will be filled with post JT material.
Outside of JT I wouldn't expect to hear any deep cuts. I have a feeling they're going to use this tour as an opportunity to retire a lot of the hits before they release the new album in the fall and tour behind that.

So hopefully we'll get a mix of I Will Follow, Out of Control, October, Gloria, Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Years Day, 40, Pride, and Bad early on and then JT. I feel like the ending run of the show would be kinda meh then. Probably One, beautiful Day, Elevation, Mysterious Ways, among others. Should still be solid but I was hoping the newer songs would be mixed in a little more.

If they play Out of Control, Twilight, Another Time Another Place or Electric Co from Boy I will lose my shit

Out of Control and Electric Co are definite possibilities. They played Electric Co at some dates on that last tour. I'm not sure about Out of Control, but that seems like a real likely one in a retrospective type show.
Also, really hope Even Better Than the Real Thing gets in there. Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kilmer would be fun, as well.
And Raised by Wolves, as far as really recent stuff.
I liked the breaking it up into suites idea more though. Like if there was a Sunday - Wolves - Bullet suite..
I saw them twice on the Elevation tour. Great both times.
Was that an arena or stadium show? Who opened?
Both arenas.
05/31/01 with PJ Harvey opening. Upper deck. Good show. 10/13/01 with Garbage opening. GA floor right in front of the stage. Post-9/11. Best show I ever saw until Macca in '13.
