Finally started listening to Michael Kiwanuka over the last two weeks. I wanted to come here to post about him immediately after hearing Cold Little Heart for the first time, but decided to wait before dishing out hot takes.
First of all, Love and Hate is fantastic. The first album is a nice, inoffensive album that I can enjoy in the same vein as a Leon Bridges album. But Love and Hate is a million times more interesting. It's also one of the most well received albums, critically, by any artist on this lineup (Metacritic).
It appears that the only other NA fest that he is at is Governor's ball. A simple youtube search reveals that he is fire live.
This is a must-see provided there is no conflict with Chance on that unbearably shitty Saturday.
Stop being excited, didn't you know Bonnaroo didn't get any quality bookings this year

To be fair, one good artist is not a suitable counter to the near-fact that you just facetiously stated.

When there are over 100 bands on the lineup SOME of them have to be good.

Fwiw, Im seeing him at a small venue in Indy for about 15 bucks; I imagine he's touring a number of non-festival dates as well.
If you like his sound, Gallant is also pretty good too (and right next to him on the lineuo!)

I looked at his tour dates and it didn't look like he was doing a huge tour or anything. Definitely not hitting the likes of Jacksonville, Florida unfortunately.
I don't think they will, but they should just make Chance completely unconflicted. He's basically a headliner and I feel like 90% of the people at Bonnaroo will want to see him. Plus with his reputation at Bonnaroo, I think he deserves it.
Warpaint announced tour dates and it says Bonnaroo.
Nice find. I'm sure that Avalanches announcement will come any day now....
4 acts were moved from the main lineup to the Club stages, so it looks like there's more room for additions. I'd anticipate 2-3 additions with the late night/superjam announcement.
BTW, looks like Warpaint is playing Saturday.

Not much point gettin' into the Silent Disco acts unless you're willin' to spend hours waitin' in line and miss other bands/artists.
This has never been a problem for me. Although I've only ever gone very late at night (ex. lane 8 last year). Just stroll right in every time.
Agreed. What Dan'ROO may be referring to is a few years ago it was much harder to get into the silent disco for acts that were reasonably known, I think because the tent was smaller then. I remember walking by the silent disco in 2012/2013 and pretty much always seeing a ridiculous line. But the past couple years I've never had a problem getting in.

Chance kicked off his your last night...he's doing the original version of Kanye's Waves, Father Stretch My Hand Pt 1, and his verse from Ultralight Beams...set list is heavy on Coloring Book, no guests on the first night.

Yeezus will return as a surprise guest with Chance.

This may very well be true. The only year I got inside was 2009, and it was great fun! But every other year I passed by the line was around the tiny tent! So by '14/15 I had just given up. Mayhaps I'll give it another go this year.
