I just bought tickets today wanted too for a while but money was low my question how in the hell were there still tickets!?!?!??! and also if i have a confirmation email that does mean i get a ticket fro sure a . we are comming from canada so no tickets would equal not a happy camper
I think there are a couple reasons why it is not sold out yet. A.Because ppl are finding out you can get tickets off of someone if they buy extras or B. there are so many festivals popping up that ppl are going to the others...there are a couple I would like to see, but my money is being put aside for Roo.

Both DMB and the Dead begin touring for the summer at Bonnaroo. Lots of folks who would normally go to see Dave/Dead will just wait until they come to their hometown instead of making the pilgrimmage to 'roo.
Hey, just my 2 cents here, but I heard that same rumor about the extra tickets too.
Someone (sorry I forget who) also said that they're probably not sold out because people aren't buying so many extras this year. Seems reasonable enough. I guess there were mad heads selling tix for like $40-$50 in traffic. What a mark down!
One tiny part of me is glad that they haven't sold out b'cuz all of our posse from last year hasn't been able to get tix yet, but it does worry me too! What's going on this year people?
I also heard an ugly rumor that reps from Clear Channel were looking to buy out Bonnaroo, but thanks to all that is holy in our world Superfly did NOT sell out. I can't speak for anyone else, but if Clear Channel bought the 'Roo there's no doubt in my mind that it would be sleeperd out to the mass conglomerates in what would result in another Woodstock '99. Those $5 bottles of water, $12 bags of ice, and a smoldering pile of something that was once so beautiful.
For all that Bonnaroo means to me, and I think means to our generation we need to keep this "free." Free from the reigns of a corporate stanglehold that would inevitable bring it crashing down to nothing more than a digustingly overpriced mockery. For the third year in a row now we are going to make the statement that we can still live in harmony. And that we don't have to take advantage of our fellow man to get what we want out of life. Good company, good times and good MUSIC.
Sorry for the rant. I just got going I guess. I'll rename that to my 4 cents, Peace all.
The Clear Channel rumor was just that, a rumor. Someone admitted to making it up.
As for people waiting to see Dave/Dead in their hometown, you may be right to some point but in regards to Dave he is doing his solo thing. This is not DMB and it might be the last time Dave and Friends plays for a long, long time. I would think that would make Dave fans want to go see this show more.
I too have heard that the capacity is greater than last year, but I heard 90K vs 80K. I'm glad to hear about the add'l acreage and wonder if that means an add'l stage too? Two years ago it also sold out really quickly -- does anyone know if people bought large amounts of tix for sale at Bonnaroo 1 also? Or if the scalpers were more present for 'roo 2?
Well said re the sentiment to keep the festival pure and conglomerate/corporate America-free!
Bella, I don't know about the first Roo, but the second one had tons of tickets for 1/3 of the original price. We can't call them scalpers for selling under face. I was under the impression that they sold out in 17 days, 80,000 tix, which is the maximum that the State or County or whoever would let them sell for whatever reason. But then they snuck another 10-20K tix to Phamily to disperse for cheap in the traffic and gave the kidz a cut of the pure profit. I can't imagine the kidz I saw last year getting stuck with 40 extras at $180.00 when the gates opened. Can You?????
Wow, I didn't realize some people had 40 or more tickets to get rid of! Interesting point about the whole thing... I'll be interested to see if any future news reports comment on the sell-out timeframe for 03 compared to the past.
Ok, I'm going out on a limb here, but I don't think it's going to sell out this year. I've heard of a LOT of people who plan on going without tickets and trying to snag them cheap like last year.
If people are looking to snag cheap tickets once they get there, there may not be enough to go around. I know a couple guys doing that route from home and I told thm they might to buy tickets, because I feel the same way that Bonnaroo may not sell out.

i wouldn't take that chance for anything...the extra money(i got lucky and got them for the 139) is worth the satisfaction of just knowing you have one for me.
This articale comfirms that there are an addtional 10,000 tickets being sold for roo. I find it interesting that the reason for slower sales is because Widespread is not on the bill. I am not buying that at all, but thats my opinion.
I've never understood the plan of traveling many many miles on a wing and a prayer of getting a ticket!!
Set yourself up for an easy time of it all - control as much of the frustration level as you personally can, and let the rest go..... the rest won't matter, coz you'll be set.

As far as the extra tickets this year not being on the official site, I am pretty sure it was up there before tickets went on sale this year, but I am not certain. Anyway I'm sure that if it doesn't "sell out" it will be damn close and no one will be able to notice. I'm glad people are still able to get tickets! I was scared I wasn't going to get ours and we only waited two weeks! Oh well!
Im not sure if they will sell out. I went to all of them and the first one had like 70,000 people it sold out quick. The second one had like 80,000 and sold out quick but by that time Bonnaroo had hit the big time on scalpers radar so many were bought for that purpose. I think the first year they gave out free tickets for the town of manchester or something like that so maybe thats why people were selling them for $50. This years Roo has 90,000 people which may be more than this festival can handle. I know the dead are playing Red Rocks again (last years Red Rocks was better than Roo if you ask me) and with Phish tours its not as easy as it was the first year.
