I know each festival has it's own thread, but as far as I know there is not a consolidated list of what festivals people here are attending. Given the negative reaction to the Bonnaroo 2017 lineup I believe such a list could be of value, so we can see where all our internet friends will be this year.
I initially tried to make a poll but there is a limit on how many poll answers you can setup. So in lieu of a poll just post here in this thread where you are headed, and I'll keep the OP updated with lists.
Or, if you are attending no festivals this year because they are all awful, feel free to post you are taking your family to Disney World. Apparently we have a lot of Disney World experts on this forum that are happy to share their knowledge.
Or don't post anything in this thread, and slowly it will die away, with maybe just a few festivals/names posted in the OP.
I had big plans for the spring, but my son is due in April, so that knocked big ears and coachella out. Bonnaroo was a long shot but there's no reason to try to make it work with that line up. Probably gonna try for late summer fests.
After missing FYF last year, I'm determined to make that happen this year.
I'm also entertaining the idea visiting some friends on the DC area and maybe heading to Lock'n.

People should post in here where they are going and then your opening post can be a running list that you edit? I'd think that the best way to do it. That's on you though haha.

As of now I only have tickets to ACL (due to Voodoo's stupid, first time ever "selling out" pre-sale bullshit) but I will be at: JazzFest ACL Voodoo
I am looking for another festival to fill that Bonnaroo gap. Shaky knees is possible but I haven't made up my mind yet.
I think I need to get back to Jazz Fest. I'm looking to fill the Roo void as well. Don't think I'll be able to travel out for Coachella, though I love their headliners and Yuma electronic acts. Fortress Festival in Fort Worth may actually be good with Margin Walker working on the booking and it's local for me. I'll also be considering Sound On Sound and ACL based on lineups. I'd love to finally get up to Newport this year.

You know you always have a spot at my place to crash. The new house is literally two and a half blocks away from the rental, plus it is much bigger. And with Kyle going to college this year (I might die of sadness) I will have TWO extra rooms, AND I have a huge front room that isn't the living room. So, inforoo party pad in the makings pretty much (for voodoo or jazzfest). Just let me know.
EDIT: Kyle will still be at home graduation from high school is May 19.
I'm unaware if I'll be going to any festivals, but here are the summer shows I currently have lined up, if anyone wants to meet up with the lady friend, and I:
4/29 - The xx - The Rave, Milwaukee, WI 7/6 - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Summerfest, Milwaukee, WI (I mean, technically this is a part of a festival) 7/22 - Roger Waters - United Center, Chicago, IL
Currently not planning on going to any fests, though I'm hoping Boston Calling delivers something good. Might do a day of GovBall or Panorama; who knows. If anyone wants to pay for my airfare though I'll go to Coachella.
Just let me know.
