It doesn't snow in December. It's usually around January or February if it does snow at all. joeytmnd as far as what to do in Atlanta...10goldbees could tell you everything you'd want to know.
When I visited a friend there years ago we went here and it was a pretty cool area. First thing I recommend to people who are going there for the first time.
I have been to Georgia once to basically drive around the whole state, see the largest peanut in the world (it is papier-mache and lame), Tifton, GA the reading capital of the world and Little Five Points. Little Five Points was super cool and we ate at Rusan's which has the rising sun roll that I will never in my life forget because it was so yummy.
I'd list the way New England is superior to everywhere else, in all ways, but it's already too expensive and I don't need everyone rushing to move here
Atlanta is cool and all, but have you guys heard of Orlando? We've got palm trees, and disney world, and.. yeah fuck Orlando
It's super humid during December in Orlando. Florida is an abomination.
One time in my hometown it snowed in February and the whole town shut down because nobody knew what to do. I worked retail at the time and the mall closed due to snow.

Shhhh... just let everyone keep believing that it's a frozen hellscape full of nothingness.
That's just me because I'm a few hours away and I don't ever travel for shows; only festivals. Hangout could put out a lineup that I like in the future so that's why I listed it. It's always on my radar.
I'm more confused about Atlanta being close to Lolla.
If Atlanta is "close," then so is fucking Fairbanks.
