Speaking of sales, I read something recently about how 4:44 has sold miserably. Just half way to a gold record at this point. I obviously credit the dumb, exclusive release. Even with all of this promotion and first week chatter, it almost doesn't exist.

Any time an album is a Tidal exclusive I immediately pirate it. I never pirate but when an artist expects me to join a service for $20 a month just so I can't have an audio file I could care less. They are making their money regardless

In a weird way, when they are released exclusively on Tidal it makes me want to hear the album less. The main ones that I think of recently are Jay's and Kanye's and both I felt like got very average reviews so there was nothing out there really making me stream them. I dont know a single person that has a Tidal account. Everyone uses Apple Music or Spotify. Shocked Tidal is still in business unless there is a very niche market that really holds them afloat.

This is it... until they get something really special, their approach of trying to use exclusives as a carrot on a stick isn't going to work out well.
I suppose if they get enough exclusive content then they can make the case to sell the platform for the contracts to Apple/Spotify.
Disagree. Hate fruit. My diet consists of almost entirely carbs and vegetables.
You're in Atlanta, right? Go to Lotta Frutta and get one of their fruit cups and/or a smoothie (with milk mixer instead of banana). You'll come around.

Will try sometime, oh and I do like pineapple pizza.

I've still never heard one song from it, stuff almost has to be on Spotify for me to listen to it before buying, and I'm damn sure not paying for Tidal. I know many others in the same boat. I keep hearing about how good it is, I should just download it but I'm only partially interested to begin with. If Bonnaroo books him I wonder how they'll make their annual Spotify playlists without one of the headliners haha
With a new bjork album coming would they book her again and give her latenight which or at least a proper preheadliner in the dark?
I want to see Bjork so bad, but I don't see it happening. I'm just hoping I'll be able to catch her on tour next year at some point.
Also, I know it's been said but I really don't see Jack White coming back again so soon, I think the Killers are the most likely headliner of anyone and will be in that #3 spot.
Fleetwood, Tool, and Future would be cool, if Future is any good live. I wouldn't know, because I skipped him at ACL for I think UMO, but I haven't heard awesome things. I also think we can stop putting Tool in these mocks.
I don't think they'd book Calvin Harris, tbh. I saw him at FPSF one year cuz my phone died and I didn't want to lose track of the people I was with. I was pleasantly surprised by his show. But yeah, he's a pretty weak headliner for Bonnaroo. He works ok headlining Coachella where there's such a massive EDM crowd, but even that was kinda weird.
That second line does pretty much nothing for me. I'm sure the National are good, but I've just never cared.

He's released a lot of music videos on Youtube. I suggest at least checking those out.

That song was good. I'd get into them if they were on the lineup, I'm sure. I can't say the same for Alt-J and the 1975. St. Vincent is kind of in that same category as The National. I saw her at FPSF one year. She's fine. I only saw two acts from the second line this year, anyway, so it's about par for the course.

The National shred, yo.
I love the National don't get me wrong but that's maybe one of four songs in their discography that "shreds" lmao
