uhhh no shit, the tickets were all sold-out before she was even announced to be playing.
Not talking about Coachella. Lady Gaga plays venues smaller than basketball arenas, when I saw Radiohead they sold out a basketball arena in less than an hour.
Gaga's tickets for Toyota Center (Houston) were gone in like half a minute or something absurd.
I'm giving Post Malone right now and I actually don't understand the hate. I mean, it's fun (and easy) to make fun of him, but I'm listening to Stoney for the first time and I definitely don't hate it, and I generally don't like the trappy triplicate rap stuff. It's nothing groundbreaking and the content is the stereotypical rap fare, but it's melodic and he has a decent voice. I can see the appeal. At the very least I won't consider it a waste of a booking at this point.

I think the point is he’s an easy target, a punchline that requires no setup. It’s like piling on Nickleback or Drake or whatever.

"I'm giving Post Malone right now" sounds like a sex thing. There are still children awake at this hour. How dare you!

When I rip on post malone I rip on myself. I enjoy his music.
Listen to Candy Paint if you haven't already. It's my jam.
Earlier in this thread the triplicate flow was mentioned, which got me wondering when it was first used. Well, I just got back from the Dead & Co show in Philly, and realized that the Grateful Dead use it in the verses of "Truckin'".
Verse starts at 0:35. "Arrows of neon and flashing marquees out on Main Street/.../Your typical city involved in a typical daydream". Obviously triplet notes have been a part of music forever, but I'm genuinely interested if anyone is aware of any priors use of it as a form of vocal cadence. Otherwise I'm ready to crown Bob Weir as the godfather of modern rap.
