I saw this thread and thought that Levitation had decided to reincarnate with a Northeast edition. Then I saw the lineup and I was like "oh, no it's something bad."
I get that the Levitation fest was on another level and a different genre entirely, but you really think this lineup is bad?
This lineup has been great lately and I am all about this one as well. PPPP are billed very low. Tickets are up quite a bit from last year it seems?
Its gone from one day to two days and tickets were $60 last year I think...so it makes sense, I think it's a pretty damn good deal @ $99.
Oh wow, I thought it was two days last year. Interetsing. I priced it out last year and it would have been around 250 for me, the girlfriend and our two kids to go and camp,. This year its almost 500 with all of the add ons for camping, shuttle, kids prices doubled, etc. Still going to keep an eye out though. This is perfect for me.

It's pretty good, but it's not "incredible" like you say it is.
There's a good handful of artists I'd like to see there (namely Ziggy, Lake Street Dive, Umphs, Twiddle and Deer Tick), but not enough to compel me to get a two-day pass to this. I went last year and had a great time, but this year I'm undecided. We'll see how the daily lineups pan out.
It's main competitor (for me, at least) is the Green River Festival, which has announced Joe Russo's Almost Dead and Lake Street Dive so far: www.greenriverfestival.com/

So the campgrounds are actually wompatuck state park campgrounds. I've never done it, but I imagine its nothing like bonnaroo. I know they had a local band play the campground last year as a mini after party which looked like a lot of fun.

I believe the campgrounds offer buses to and from the festival grounds - its like a 20 minute ride or something. Last year when I went I didn't camp, so I cannot comment on the overall quality, but I heard it was alright. Keep in mind that the bus pass is an additional $34, and the campground doesn't allow alcohol and they have quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am..
Also, After a closer look at this lineup, and the subsequent sea of shitty lineups that have been emerging, this is looking really good! I'm still deciding between this and the Green River Festival, but they haven't announced the entirety of their lineup yet. I've really been getting into Umphrey's McGee, Lake Street Dive and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

Didn't they say they hoped to return in 2018?
I'm sure they're hoping to, and I really hope they succeed. But with the lawsuits, I just think it's going to be hard for an independent like The Reverberation Appreciation Society to survive.
It might take a few years, and it might be under a new name, but I am hopeful the spirit of Austin Psych Fest survives.

Yeah, totally understandable. Their camping seems like it's a far, far cry from typical camping festivals.
Quick update on this festival - Umphrey's McGee announced some summer tour dates today and they list Saturday, July 8th as the day they're playing. So far, it's looking like the breakdown will be -
