I realize there are some older posts (circa 2008ish) that give VIP camp sizes as approximately 15x30, but can anyone confirm the VIP campsite size (non-RV) from last year?
Not sure how uniform the spaces were but I would guess that our 2016 VIP camping space was 20x15 (not counting the parking space for our car). I was able to squeeze in a 10x10 easy up and our 10x10 tent into the space and we still had ~5 feet of clearance along the long side between the tent/ezup and our car. On the short sides, our tent and ezup were right on the chalk guidelines but we had an empty space (access rd) on one side which let us cheat a little bit and gave the feeling/illusion of more space
Well, the official site says GA sites tent are 400 sq ft (37.61m2), which will be a 20 x 20 square plot. VIP sites are 440 sq ft (40.877 m2), a 20 x 22 plot.
MY question is about the orientation: common sense suggests a 20’ frontage with a 22’ depth, but is this correct??
I’m gonna bet they’re pretty uniform, as well.
See ya Thursday!

2018 was the last time they posted VIP camp size info. Nothing was posted that I could find in 2019 nor 2021. YMMV, but we’ve used to 10x10 straight leg canopies for the previous four years (one over the van + one over the camping area) and always had a couple feet to spare between our site and the site facing the opposite way. So 20’ of road frontage and 22’ back from the road is a pretty reliable approximation.
