Said Blonde Redhead, RTJ and Iggy Pop is what they are seeing. But is that what they are streaming? Joey Purp on first. Now Little Dragon. Cherry Glazer with the shout out to Keith Morris ( \m/ ) intro, some Vandals and Flea in old clips from the original [tm] Suburbia and the original [tm] Decline and Fall of Western Civilization. Chicano Batman. Blonde Redhead.
This festival was a huge success. Loved almost everything about it. Saw 30 sets (a lot of partial ones of course), and hopefully will write a lengthy review once I go back to NYC.

Gut reaction top sets of the weekend before I go to bed:
1. Iggy Pop 2. Cap'n Jazz 3. Frank Ocean 4. Nine Inch Nails 5. Bjork 6. Mitski 7. Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals 8. Erykah Badu (slightly penalized for being 27 minutes late...) 9. Royal Headache 10. Angel Olsen
Bjork Missy Elliott Frank Ocean Solange Nine Inch Nails The Black Madonna b2b Tiga Fatima Yamaha Motor City Drum Ensemble Mura Masa Whitney Run The Jewels Angel Olsen Erykah Badu Perfume Genius John Talabot
Damn, I definitely saw a lot of great music this weekend. Unfortunately the constant walking/standing on pavement everywhere killed my feet each day and I wasn't able to make it to the very end of each night, having to miss bits of Flying Lotus, Frank Ocean, The Black Madonna (Sat night set) and Nine Inch Nails. While the music is way on point at this festival, and the food options are pretty stellar, I have a LOT of complaints regarding the venue in general. It sucks. Bad. And the fact that you have to walk 2 miles, from the very beginning of the entrance "tunnel" that goes a whole block down the sidewalk, to then get huddled into a GIANT zig zag cage that literally takes 15min to go through, all while being on hot asphalt, made me extremely salty to start off each day. Also the random ass areas you couldn't have beer was annoying. You could drink next to the stadium, but couldnt walk with it out to any stages, but then they sold beer again out at the stages. I was told this was because the inner area used the stadium's beer licenses and the outer beer gardens were temporary beer licenses and they couldnt be mixed. Also, if you're going to allow cigarettes and vape pens to be brought into the festival, don't fucking then tell all your security to not allow smoking.
All in all, well worth the trip due to the lineup alone, and I will likely be back again next year.
Also, if you're a gay man, this is THE music festival for you. Almost certain my ugly hetero ass was in the minority and DAMN were people's outfits on point all weekend. People watching was extremely entertaining.
NIN was dope but I had no regrets leaving early to see Talaboman. They played fucking Born Slippy and it may have been better than seeing Underworld play it.

1. Paranoid London 2. Iggy Pop 3. ATCQ 4. Talaboman 5. Flylo 6. Black Madonna B2B Tiga
If you're a fan of Tribe, you will love this show. Their beats are still so fucking smooth and Q-Tip gave me cold chills a few times. Given our current state their music is as relevant as ever. If anything about their set was underwhelming, I blame the young crowd and their unawareness. Hopefully they bring out some oldies for Pano. I would like to redo it with a Coachella crowd.
Edit: their Pitchfork set looked ideal.

Ill do a write up later but I agree with the consensus here. Not only was the music great, but the festival as a whole was just really organized. No lines for practically anything

Surprised to see so many people disappointed with tribe. I thought it was one of the best sets of the weekend. They made a pretty big deal about it being their last show in LA so I was happy to be there. Everyone around me seemed to be really into it too, though to be fair i was pretty far up for that one.
1. Frank Ocean - This was the set I was most looking forward to, but I honestly had doubts that Frank would live up to my hype. He blew me away. His voice was incredible live and the show never really got slow or boring for me. The production was also soooo cool, I don't even know how to describe it because it was so minimal, but it worked out so well. 2. Talaboman - Made the difficult decision to leave NIN early and have no regrets at all. My legs hurt so bad and I couldn't stop dancing at this set. Born Slippy was one of the highlights of my entire weekend. 3. Tiga b2b The Black Madonna - One of my favorite straight up DJ sets I've seen, thanks to Phi for giving me the heads up about it. It was hilarious to watch TBM partying with all her friends while Tiga just kept dropping straight bangers with the most serious look on his face the entire time. The crowd was also like literally 80% gay dudes which makes any dance set better. 4. Paranoid London - I lost my shit to Light Tunnel 5. Flying Lotus - FlyLo was so good. The 3D visuals worked incredibly well if you were decently close and central (not sure how they worked from other parts of the crowd). He also rapped a bunch of songs which was great. 6. Fatima Yamaha - Been waiting to hear What's A Girl To Do for so long, it was worth it. 7. A Tribe Called Quest - They were great. I think the closer you were for this the better because people were really into it as you got closer to the stage. 8. Iggy Pop - Fucking legend. It's so badass and also hilarious to see old Iggy still doing his thing. 9. Motor City Drum Ensemble - Really fun set. 10. Kelly Lee Owens - Great start to my weekend.
Honorable Mentions: Bjork, Anderson .Paak, Andy Shauf, NIN
The only bad show I saw was Big Thief. I'm not sure why but they were awful. They were still sound checking 10 minutes into their 40 minute set, so maybe they finally just said fuck it.
I was far back for Tribe. I'm not sure if they oversold Saturday or if Tribe really is THAT big of a draw, but we got there a couple minutes into their set and couldn't even get remotely close.
As such, couldn't really get into it too much. If I was a big fan I think I would have loved it, but the combination of being far back, a little tired, and not knowing most of their material made me think it was so-so.

I was decently close but not like super close for Tribe, and when they ended no one around me really left. Tons of people were already camped out for Frank.

What's the deal with Frank's stage set up? Does he perform exclusively on that little platform in the middle of the crowd or does he split time between there and the normal end stage?
Negatives: Getting my phone stolen at Anderson .Paak, the fucking constant feedback at the right speaker during Frank's set, Fly Lo being a bit too sloshed in the second half of his performance, the dust. Why was it so dusty, my throat is way worse from this than Coachella.
