That would be a better top line than Primavera. I probably wouldn't travel out for it since I got 4/6 at Pano, but Iggy also playing in top of all of that?... very tempting. He was my favorite concert last year. Totally unreal to see him live.
Wonder if they still do the KCRW in-studio lineup announcement where Sean plays a couple songs from acts on the bill then they drop the poster, or if they'll just do the Coachella random drop
So is it factually? NIN | Bjork | Frank Ocean ATCQ | Aphex Twin | Missy Elliot ? I would say you are right about Gorillaz. My guess is next year Coach will probably be the first US show. Followed by a tour and a few other US fests.

I won't be surprised if Aphex Twin ends up not being on the lineup.
Arcade Fire - Nine Inch Nails - Frank Ocean A Tribe Called Quest - Aphex Twin - Solange
Hopefully the top lines aren't just Panorama '17 + Arcade Fire. That'd be kinda lazy.
They are owned by the same company on opposite coasts a weekend apart. There will def be overlap. There was last year and they weren't so close in time. Unless the grow into something else I'd bet these fests are going to be "AEG interesting lineup East/West" going forward

Besides Kendrick and LCD, last year's lineups were almost different festivals entirely.

That seems to be the way it's going to work though. Goldenvoice is good for FYF Presents because they give them access to affordable (when packaged) headliners (Kendrick, LCD, and Tame last year); FYF Presents is good for Goldenvoice because of their relationships with up and coming acts and their ability/desire to book unique acts (how many other fest in America last year had Anohni, Shellac, Todd Terje, Explosions in the Sky, etc. last year?).
Combined with GV seemingly making it accessible for them to get acts like NIN and ATCQ, it may seem "lazy" but it almost guarantees one of the best lineups in America this year. Plus, none of us in California will be flying to NYC for Panorama anyway, so can care less what the overlap is, as long as its good stuff.

Last year the two festivals were not just a week apart

They each have their own niche. Pano's lineup isn't that dissimilar from last year's - festival whores, a couple of surprises, and a small group of bookings dedicated to NYC. All of those awesome acts you mentioned are still absent and Panorama is left with another meh lineup (though the product itself is perfectly fine and serves its purpose). I'd like to think Goldenvoice babies this festival slightly more though. That was and will probably still be reflected in the undercard. They aren't just building these as "Coach East/West". That notion is especially lazy for a group like Goldenvoice. They are better than that. These festivals have their own identities and I'd bet we'll see that at the top of the lineup as well.
My point is that this is still Sean's festival. It's not "Panorama West" and Panorama isn't "FYF East."
It's a unique beast that is treated as such because Sean - along with Riot Mike of Riot Fest and a few others - has the relationships to pull off some sick lineups.
What he gets from GV is access to quality headliners at prices that they can make work. Thus I would be pretty surprised if 3-4 of the top 9 acts aren't Panorama acts and another 1-2 end up being Coachella cts next year. I think we're saying the same thing in the sense that the fests will be unique/different, but I think they're gonna have to share some top line talent.

Oh I'm sure they'll share talent and I'm good with 3-4 out of 9. But 5 of 6 with Arcade Fire being the other add is where I draw the fucking line.
