Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

I recommend using battery powered fans. That's what I've always used anyways. I make it through the festival on one set of batteries.
The problem with the charging stations is that there are dozens of them and tens of thousands of attendees. The math is against you. Also, are you planning on missing stuff while you are charging or just planning on leaving your stuff unattended while you wander around?

I am going VIP and they mention "Exclusive Charging service for all your gadgets in the VIP Courtyard" I was assuming it was a drop off and pick up deal.

I agree with cdevaney - a battery powered fan (whether rechargeable or one that takes D batteries) should last you through the weekend if you don't run it 24x7 - always has for me. I'd worry about a USB fan pushing enough air to be useful. Something like the 9" or 10" (?) O2/Ozark trail fan works great, as many campers and festival goers will attest to.
I've had this one for several years, and it works great. Perfect for ventilating a tent after the sun comes up (hint: you need more shade than a tent) or cooling you down. Or this one is pretty similar.
Browse through the sticky threads under That Tent for a million tips on surviving the farm. Lots of good info there for inexperienced campers and even experienced ones who are unfamiliar with something like Bonnaroo. Short version: drink tons of water, apply sunscreen before heading out, make sure you have shade at camp, drink more water, reapply sunscreen frequently, drink water, don't try to do all the druqs or drink all the beer the first day, drink more water, and go to Inforoo brunch.

I do VIP and I drop off and do my thing and come back to get my stuff. There are attendees there that sign your stuff in and out and it is always being watched. That being said, I use battery operated fans. I have never had one die on me, and they are definitely the way to go.
