I wonder how accurate the NIN predictions are? I feel like they have been floating for months so I’d think there might be some sort of validity to it. Daft Punk will never happen, their reunion US show will be headlining a massive fest like Coachella, not Day For Night. This is torture, Jetblue has a sale that would get my flights to Texas super cheap but it ends tomorrow.. figures the lineup gets dropped 10 hours later. Do I roll the dice? NIN would certainly get me there.

I just reserved a hotel, got a pretty great price for 4 nights considering it's super close to the fest. Really hoping this lineup is great. Portishead would be dope. NIN didn't impress me at MIA in '14, but I would like to see them in a not teeny bopper crowd, and Thom Yorke seems to good to be true, but I'd be very happy.
Has anyone thrown the idea of Robyn around? Her fest dates are pretty random when she does them, but she has top 40 cred, and would be a big draw, plus if they're playing up the charity aspect of this she has a track record of being really into humanitarian efforts.

Anybody have any clinchers? Ya know specific artists that would seal the deal for you buying a ticket regardless of the rest of the lineup? Obviously if Portishead was even a possible reality I would go no questions asked...but there is no way in hell. I'm feelin some Tim Hecker, Amnesia Scanner, Grouper, James Blake, Shabazz Palaces for some hip hop. Its all about the smaller bills for me. Last year I drove 14 hours to Houston pretty much for Oneohtrix Point Never, Clams Casino and Arca. Didn't even see all of Aphex if you can believe that.
Houston Press did a "wants" article earlier today from various writers. They have:
Lana Del Ray Godspeed You! Black Emperor Kronos Quartet Logic Post Malone Giorgio Moroder NOSAJ Thing Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith
Then Dr. Daddy has his list which are more predictions than wants:
Nine Inch Nails Chromatics one or two of My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream, Ride Solange Knowles, Geto Boys reunion at least two of: Frank Ocean, Angel Olsen, Alex Cameron, MF Doom, Lana Del Ray, A Tribe Called Quest (doubt it), Burial, Oneotrix Point Never, Ryan Trecartin & Kool Keith/Dr. Octagon

Four Tet. It's time. This fest is perfect for him, he's never comes to Houston (Texas overall barely), he's got a new album coming out around then.
I'd also be really stoked if Esperanza Spalding (another Houston/Texas rarity) get's on the lineup in the Thundercat/Kamasi slot.

Lana Del Ray Dont see this really, she'd be more likely to headline FPSF/sub head ACL than this. Godspeed You! Black Emperor Would love Kronos Quartet Logic He was just here Post Malone He is doing a show here soon and please god no Giorgio Moroder Haven't really thought of this but that would be pretty sweet NOSAJ Thing Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith

Nine Inch Nails Chromatics one or two of My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream, Ride or Slowdive please Solange Knowles, Geto Boys reunion at least two of: Frank Ocean, Angel Olsen, Alex Cameron, MF Doom i just don't know that these guys would try to book him after already being burned once, Lana Del Ray, A Tribe Called Quest (doubt it), Burial, Oneotrix Point Never dont see him coming back again, Ryan Trecartin & Kool Keith/Dr. Octagon

He hit Dallas and Austin like a year ago, but not Houston so I would say that's a good sign.
Some guesses: Purity Ring, Pretty Lights, Too Short, Bonobo, Nosaj Thing, Com Truise, Washed Out, Mount Kimbie, Actress, Forest Swords, Flying Lotus
Yeah, just a few acts on that list interest me. Kronos Quartet might be cool, Geto Boys, Kool Keith and Ride would be the ones I'd want off his predictions along with the Nails.

its hard to take any prediction seriously that includes burial.

I would absolutely love for these folks to be there.

Damn Chromatics would make me lose my shit. And fuckin Dr. Octagon zomg. I'm feeling like Shabazz is gonna be there for one of their hip hop acts cuz they haven't been yet and it's a perfect fest for them. Not to mention they just dropped a double album not that long ago.
