They didn't do a bad job booking this. Older well-to-do's in the area will flock to this lineup.
One of my good friends here in Nashville actually books it. They purposely book a lot of the nostalgic cheese acts as its the demo theyre shooting for.
I'm on the wrong side of the country for this, but every year when I see the lineup for Kaaboo I wonder why more fests don't use a similar formula. I would be way more excited for a few more random rock/alt bands from the 70s, 80s, 90s rather than extra modern indie, hiphop, etc acts when there are already 20 of each on a lineup! Just seems like it could help differentiate lineups and draw a different demographic. I guess Bonnaroo used to be more diverse in this way, though with more genre diversity...and probably why I don't go anymore now that they've lost that. Any other fests out there that try this?
This fest makes no apologies about gearing towards an older crowd. It's also a small fest, only about 15-20k, so it seems like pretty good experience from what I've heard.
