Parking is a total nightmare 2 hours to park. Missed @ironmaiden completely. GnR supposed to be on at 9:25 they are 30 minutes late so far. It’s a shit show honestly . #refund #ripoff
Oof. Fair number of people on reddit reporting this fest is a bit of a clusterfuck.
Curious to hear from people on the board that are there.
The expectation of a decent view from the $600 GA section seems to be pissing a lot of people off, as well as long lines, poor sound, and the video sync being delayed, among other things.

I mean if anyone expected to park easily by arriving at 6pm theyre gravely mistaken. GnR has til 1am so if they wanted to be late they had plenty of buffer. Everyone will say its a cash grab if it doesnt go smoothly.
I wanna know how much was sold. Were the bleachers full of empty spots or did this get close to sold out after what we thought were soft sales.
Even if grand stands are about the same as the seating then they got to 80-90% or so of it sold it seems. It had to be enough not to justify single days being sold.
Parked at about 3:45 in lot 1B and got in very easy. The view from GA wasn’t horrible and the screens are huge. Was very easy to navigate and not very full at all. Maiden sounded great. Probably not the setlist that most casual fans wanted but the second hour picked up and was really good. Guns N Roses sound was awful for the first hour or so but got better. Axl’s voice is pretty shot at this point. Overall a good time and hopefully they fix the logistical problems that some encountered today.

awful day, needed 6.5h hours from LA, absolute record. never needed more than 3.5h in the 12 or so years of going to coachella. missed half of maiden. they were solid. GnR set is definitely the worst show i saw in the past 5 years, and top5 all time horrible sound, horrible axl's voice, super lame crowd, GA pretty much being a place way in the back with bad sound and starring at the screens. will stay home tomorrow. will do sunday but who knows at this point.
Truthfully, if you're seeing GNR in 2023 and aren't expecting them to be late that's on you. I'm honestly not sure if they've been on time for any shows, especially festival shows, since their reunion.
Isn't this tour supposed to be the Somewhere In Time anniversary tour? They skipped 2 songs off the album but overall, objectively, played the best off it. I'm a bit biased because it's my favorite by them.

I really wanted to go to this but I dodged a couple big bullets by staying home. My kitchen flooded Wednesday and if I didn't catch the leak when I did, or if it started on Thursday instead of Wednesday I would have come home Monday evening to a huge problem.
Then, this morning the raccoons fucked up the return line for my koi pond and that would have drained out and killed all my fish.
Sad that I missed Iron Maiden (and what would have been Ozzy originally) but kind of glad I stayed home after all of this!
ACDC rehearsal snippet leak - Dog a Bone. Blabbermouth posted this along with some fan selfies including Cliff, Brian, Steve and the Maiden drummer visiting.
Where Maiden better than GNR last night? Axl sounded OK on the polo field with Underwood, but I remember the 2016 Coachella W1 gig being a bit of a mess. IIRC, Axl has been on time for all gigs since the 2016 reunion even going on before 7:30 if it is a strict 10pm curfew like Hyde Park - being on time is likely built into the bigger money reunion shows. Axl has....changed his approach...to singing in 2023 with some success some clips from last night are a quiet head shake.
when they do a tour, you're gettin the same exact setlist the entire tour. this is what maiden do and have done for a long time.
i get it tho. off the bat i felt like it probably wasnt the right choice for this festival but im personally stoked to see them when they come back to so cal for the next leg as they're really focusing on an album that they rarely play (somewhere in time).
the tour they just finished up last year would have gone off way better at Power Trip probably
Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Hell's Heroes 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025
Glenn Tipton playing with Priest is awesome, DC dusted off a bunch of songs they haven't played in 20 years.
that's more my beef with the maiden setlist, play one deep cut, give something to the people that paid an insane amount of money to be there. 5 songs from 2 year old album and not one thing that hasn't been played in X years is boring.
