The latest email blast with community and campground activities that lists late night events with 'official end times TBD' seems like an admission that nothing will be happening in Centeroo after 3 am.

doesnt the Silent Disco go until 4? I would think the 3 am curfew has less to do with noise ordinances and more to do with crowd control, but if the SD goes past 3, I don't see why everyone else couldn't

There also used to be surprise sets at The Grind in Pod 7 from lower-billed artists. Not sure if these weren't listed because they're surprises or because they've stopped booking them. There's open time from 1-3 each day there, so that might be just enough time to load in and start a short acoustic set at 1:30 or 2. Or they're just gone.

You always have Snake and Jake's Christmas lounge until like 6, right?
Edit -
Thursday - Full Service Party 8:15pm to 6:00am (Snake and Jake's)
Friday - Red Bull Music Academy Takeover 3:00am to 6:00am (Snake and Jake's)
Saturday - Robe Rage (surprise guests) 3:00am to 4:00am and then 90's Rave 4:30 - 6:30am (Snake and Jake's)

They aren't shuttin' the party down early due to noise ordinances. The Farm becomes one of the biggest cities in TN over the weekend.

btw have y'all considered GoldFish? I've seen them mentioned a bit and kind of just assumed they were generic EDM but I'm going through the lineup one last time on spotify and these guys took me by surprise. The song I listened to was like jazzy/trip hop
So I checked out a live set and it's not really like that (makes sense; they were at EDC) but seems pretty awesome. Dancey, lots of live instrumentation. At one point one of the dudes is playing upright bass while the other plays flute, which isn't what I'd expect to be opening the Other, to say the least.
Probably going to miss the Orwells for this (since I've seen Orwells several times)

They were a nice discovery for me. Unfortunately I've never seen The Orwells so I'll have to miss them. Speaking of decent artists on The Other Stage I also really like Rezz but she ends 15 minutes before Chance the Rapper starts. I really liked Barclay Crenshaw but he's at the same time as Kevin Morby. Even G Jones seemed pretty good but that's at the same time as Kevin Abstract. I just can't win.

Planning on splitting my time between this and Orwells, since I've seen the Orwells before as well. I'm open to staying longer or leaving early, though, depending on how the set goes.

I think this is the year for the smaller stages to really shine. Backup Planet will be amazing on Sunday. Magic City Hippies is another must-see on my list (kinda like a mashup of Beck & The Beastie Boys). Sweet Sweet should be so much fun as well.

I'll second the notion about the Magic City Hippies! That's going to be a great way to get Friday started!
Do we think that the schedule in it's current iteration is the final one? Safe to print?
There haven't been many changes unfortunately. When I first saw the schedule I definitely thought there'd be some adjustments (like giving U2 at least two hours). But at this point I'm not hopeful. But I'd still wait until this weekend. I remember how Slayer got their set time changed a week before the festival and a lot of people ended up missing them.
We saw Goldfish close out Waka 15 at Satellite Stage. It was okay, but coming off Greenhouse Lounge > Roots > Portugal > Lotus > Thievery Corporation, it had no choice but to be somewhat mildly disappointing.

Holy fuck that string of artists is amazin'! Especially Lotus>Thievery Corporation! I would lose my mind!

Waka was something else. If you don't mind wooks and hippies and electro hippies, it was the greatest. Every day of 2014 and 2015 was busy from early afternoon until dawn. Plus their preparty was Wed, so you got 4 full days of stuff the rest of the weekend. And that's with 2am Papadosio or Savoy or Quixotic so they'd keep the intensity up until like 4, then the satellite stage would have Govinda or something crazy like that until 6. We did VIP both years which kept riff raff away from the campsites and also got you rail for the two main stages which was usually HL by STS9, Umphrey's, String Cheese and their other hls of the given year. cmack knows a girl who has a standing job offer with the promoters, but they still have to unwind those lawsuits. I'd skip everything not local to have Waka back again. Sniff.

Backup Planet is also playing a late night set at Pod 3 on Saturday night, for what it's worth.
